How to register hs
It would help to have the model number of the base ( found on a sticker on the bottom of the base ) and the handset (under the battery) but the following works for many models: Press and hold the "Find Handset" button until the "in use" lamp comes on. Press the
"#" key on the handset, then place it on the base... if it is going to work, in a minute or less it will chirp and announce "handset registered". If it shows "registration failed", the base may be "fully populated" and cannot accept another handset: many models are limited to only 5 handsets. To start over by clearing the base registry, press the "Find Handset" button until the "in use" lamp
lights, then continue to hold "Find Handset" until "in use" begins to
blink. Release, then press again the "Find Handset" button for a moment. The base should chirp, and be ready to register handsets again... try again as above until the maximum is reached. Good luck!
Want to change answering machine message
Good afternoon Ed.
You can find the complete manual for this system here:
http://cdn-media.vtechphones.com/ecp/documents/product_Product/1681/UserManual/6351/ls6425-3_manual_i3.pdf
If you go to page 43 of the manual (page 47 of the .PDF file), it has instructions for recording your greeting. It has additional icons and such, but the short summary is:
- With the handset down, press [Menu/Select]
- Arrow up or down to highlight [Answering Sys]. then push [Menu/Select]
- Press [Menu/Select] to select [Announcement]
- Arrow keys to highlight [Record annc]. then press [Menu/Select]
- System will announce 'Record at the tone, press [5] when you are done.
- After the tone, speak toward the handset microphone.
- When Done, press [5]. System will play your message back to you and returns to previous menu, or press [Off/Cancel] to exit without saving recording.
Hoping that helps, and Happy Holidays.

They can't hear me when making or receiving a call
I'm not blaming anybody or the company, I'm just suggesting as I've learnt about it previously. Some companies may try to make these products, in this case, your phone as useless as quick as possible to get money. I'm only suggesting this, or you could make sure that you might've not pressed your mute button and the other person hasn't either. The person who's on the other end might have a problem with their phone, but if it always happens and they are different callers or are being called, then I would say it was the first one where the manufacturer is making it as useless as possible. You could also check your wireless as well and make sure your phone is working smoothly, everything apart from this little problem.
How to check voicemail on my vtech 6.0 phone
VoiceMail is not a function or feature of the cordless phone.
VoiceMail is an option offered by some (not all) telephone
service providers, and each of those who do offer the feature
employ specific procedures unique to themselves.
Check with your Telephone Service Provider to see if you
have or can get a VoiceMail service activated and how to
go about using it.
OTOH, some cordless phones have an associated Answering
Machine System to answer incoming calls, save a message,
provide for you to access and manage the system remotely
(ie, call-home and play your messages, delete some or all, etc.)
The specific how-to's for all of this are best viewed in the
original Owner's / User's Manual which is easily downloaded
from
www.manualslib.com ( look underneath the battery
inside the handset for a small sticker showing the proper model
number to look for ( ie, CS6229 ))
Good luck!

To obtain a replacement manual, you'll need the precise model
number of your phone: this is found on a small sticker
underneath the battery inside the handset. Take this
model number ( eg, CS6114 ) to
www.manualslib.com
and you can download a free copy of the manual.
Good luck!
