Flash drives are STATIC Drives with no mechanical functioning parts. This kind of apparatus can be shunted or discharged by electrical disturbances. For example, a static charge, somewhat like when you rub your feet on a carpet and touch a door knob "POP, you get a spark". So, if the flash drive receives an electrical discharge or it is pulled from the USB Port without properly ejecting it, it can render the flash drive dormant. The data will be lost and usually can not be retrieved. That is why you should always make a secondary back up of important data on another drive.

insert flash drive into USB port...click on my computer and it'll show you the drives that are running and the flash drive you have plugged in right click to open drop down click open to access contents.. hope it helps :-)

There are many problems that could be causing this, but this should do the trick:
1. Click the start button at the bottom left of your screen. Then, click "Control Panel".
2. In the Control Panel window that pops up, double click "Device Manager".
3. If your flash drive is not already plugged in, plug it in now.
4. There are many different things in Device Manager that you see. There should be one thing sticking out though with a Yellow Triangle, with a black Exclamation point inside it, and next to it should say Universal Serial Bus Adapter or something to that effect.
5. Right click on that, and click Uninstall. In the box that pops up, click Yes I want to uninstall.
6. Restart the computer.
7. Now plug in the USB drive, and give it a second.
8. After a minute, it should work.

You didn't' say which operating system you are using. Any current version of Windows (XP, Vista, 7) should be able to load a driver and not need a download for it. In any event, you can find the driver you need on the SanDisk website here:

you guys have to empty the trash can or

1. open applications
2. open utilities
3. click on disk utility
4. locate the drive, left hand side
5. select the drive
6. click on erase
7. select file system, either MS-DOS or Mac OS extended.

Insert the cruzer into the usb port. You should see a message pop up and say new hardware found and then flash off. It may also say usb memory or storage device or even recognize it as the cruzor. This recognition process is fairly quick say 5-10 seconds. After that the computer knows what the cruzer is and its ready for use.

The cruzer is now seen as another drive or storage drive on your computer. Your hard drive is usually C , the CD/DVD would be D drive and the cruzer would be seen as E. If you are in a program and want to save to the cruzer you open the file/save and you should see E drive or Cruzer if not click on my computer and look for it there. Once you find it just click on it and then hit save/ok. Thats all there is to using one. Once you know how to find it as a save option or a loading option then you just treat it like a hard drive.

Once you get it sorted out you will use it a lot. They are very handy.

try to defragment the hardisk by using window defragmenter or using tuneup utilities.
u can find window defragmenter on right clicking on the partition and then selecting properties there u will find defragmenter.

Your laptop may need drivers installed for your flash drive. Visit your USB drive manufacturer's website, find the "Support" page, and download the drivers for your specific drive. Be sure to know what version of your operating system you are running as it may be necessary to ensure you get compatible drivers. Install the drivers and try again.

the file you are trying to open cannot find compatible software on your computer to open it with. This may be a problem with file association in Windows though. If it's a typical JPG or BMP, Windows should have no problem with it. Do you know what type of image format you are trying to open? You can right-click on the file and select Properties to finsd out more information about the file.

Look for Unlock switch. Try RMPrepUSB - Drive - Clear Read only status.

Need more details: What computer and what operating system? What is the capacity of the memory card and the USB Flash Drive? Are you using the computer's built in card reader or an external one? If the computer is older, or you are using an older operating system, it may not recognize higher capacity cards, and you may need to buy a higher capacity card reader.

Easy put it in, drag files you want to it and eject. then insert to other comp and drag files you want out then eject.

turn the radio off then go into the menu and configure blue tooth and wifi to on. with radio and device on set device to discoverable. have radio scan for new devices and pair with code.

your memory card has bad sectors that needs fixing by typing chkdsk x: /f /r (where x is the memory card) at the command prompt on your pc/laptop
