How do i hook-up a bose companion 3 series II system to an hdtv?

What type of connections does your tv have, hdmi, component? Match up the connection from the bose series 3 to your hdtv. I don't want to assume that your tv has hdmi, which would provide the best signal throughput & quality.

When ever I turn on

Static sounds usually indicate a failing connection. Disconnect and reconnect the plug several times to shine the contacts on the pins.

No sound coming through, drumming

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand,system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer

Our bose companion 3 series 11 control pod is missing. Can the speakers be used without the pod? Is there a generic pod we can get?

The control pod has specific design for the product therefore

I don\'t think there is any generic pod that comply with the product,

though you can find control pod for bose in ebay for about $10 to $50

Bose Companion 3 Series 2 Multimedia doesn't work.

Maybe a tranformer burnout, this is the most common cause, refer to a Bose service center

Sound is coming out of only one speaker, with both

I have a Bose companion 3 series II and my control pod will only work if the Jack plug is pushed half way in but the sound is distorted if you push the jack plug all the way in you dont get any sound

After listening to several songs my volume in my Bose computer speakers start pulsating. Going up and down, it is suttle but it drives me crazy!!

The laser is failing. Just like in a record player there is a tracking gain adjustment inside but it is very touchy to move it. If anything is adjusted inside it may never work again. Perhaps resoldering some of those potentiometers, and perhaps other spots on the board may fix this. If the laser fails it is done.
