Pinnacle Dazzle DVD Recorder - Page 7 Questions & Answers
I have a dazzle dvc
Check the version of your software. You'll need version 2.6.1 if you're trying to use Vista or Windows 7. Older versions of the Dazzle software will not work with XP 64 bit, Vista or 7. This
link will take you directly to the Pinnacle download page for the updater package if that's what you need.
Hi-8 capture often requires using a Firewire connection instead of USB. Check the device's details to see if that may be the issue.
Hope that's helpful.
Valid input signal not detected
1 unplug Dazzle from USB. turn off pc, restart with out dazzle plugged in. shut down PC, restart then plug dazzle in after PC has restarted fully. if that don't work then go to step 2. ( sometimes using a different USB port works too)
2. uninstall it and reinstall it should work fine. i had the same problem and had to many things in the USB ports at the same time.
I have a mac and
Hi patrick,
Looking up the Dazzle DVD recorder, I found this:
System Requirements
- Platform: Windows Vista / XP
But, Pinnacle who makes the Dazzle does have this info on Mac Video capture:

The Pinnacle Studio which worked
I think the best option for you is to Upgrade to Pinnacle Studio 14 which is $0, or Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate, which costs $70. An upgrade is cheaper than buying the entire version which will cost you about $130. The upgrade will work with Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2), Windows XP (SP3).
On the other hand, if a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues, you can right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. This will make it run as if it was running in Windows XP. You can find more about this Compatibility issue on Microsoft website:
