Changing recording time?
Hi and welcome to Fixyah,
If you won't allowed to enter the valid time record you need to go back to step number select video source and then try to click pull down arrow and then select your dazzle device, go back to step number 4 and then click on small circle and put the valid time recording.
Remember that the maximum time to record using DVD blank disc is only 103 mins.
No colour when I record using the Dazzle DVD Recorder.
Get a program called amcap and you also need pinnacle studio first open pinnacle studio then go to capture then if your using 12 dv then open amcap an error will come up then go to options then video filter settings or something then where it says pal or ntsc change it to secam b then go to pinnacle studio and look at the preview, it is in color then when you start recording it goes black and white again so open amcap go to options then video capture filter then change secam to ntsc then apply then go to secam b again then it will be recording in color then you have to cut out the black and white in pinnacle studio or any other video editing program I use sony vegas pro 9 then search tutorials on the program but it is easy in any program really.
Can not set time of recording
Hi and welcome to Fixya,
When you cannot get into put the time for recording on step number 4 all you have to do is to go back to step number 1. Double click on Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder and choose go direct to the advance mode and click next.
On Step number 1 click on the pull down arrow and choose for dazzle DVC 100. Go back to step number 4 and now put the total and valid time recording.
If there is no Dazzle device on step number 1 go ahead and disconnect your dazzle and connect to another usb port or much better if you connect that at the back of the computer.Try it again.
Total recording time window won't work
I had this same issue when trying to record direct to DVD with 2.5, and could not solve it. Then, I finally ran through the wizard, and it indicated the maximum length for each level of video quality (DVD HQ, DVD LP, DVD SP, etc) - something to the effect of "At this quality, your device can record XXX minutes of video".
Once I set it to a quality level that exceeded the length I needed, I was able to proceed without any problem.
MY instand dvd recorder wont work, I tried to
Go to control panel, programs and features, and look at the list to find dazzle or whatever. If it's not there you may have had an error when installing. You could go to your c drive, users, program files x86, and find the folder where it was installed and physically delete it. But it's always advisable to uninstall it properly them restart. Hope this helps!
Bought dazzle but lost serial number and do not
We can't give serial numbers out on this site, even if we had them, so the best thing to do would be to contact Pinnacle support:

...and hope they have a record of you as a customer.
Good luck!
