Electrolux Pronto 2-In-1 Stick/Hand Vacuum - Cayenne - Page 4 Questions & Answers
The brush on ours wont spin
Take out the brush roller. (turn the plastic lock mechanism with a coin or screwdriver, pull out the plastic holder, and the brush will pop out). The brush roller has two white caps on the ends. Chances are, one or both of these caps have moved out just a bit, putting too much force on the delicate motor. Simply push the caps back firmly into place. Make sure the brush and the surrounding area is clean, put back in and It should spin .
How to empty
for this unit, you want to start by removing the hand vac portion.
along the side of the clear chamber towards the nozzle opening is 2 clips on either side of the unit.
Squeeze these clips together and the clear plastic chamber should come off. Pull the filter out of the chamber and dump out.
At this point too, you can choose to clean the dust cup, (soap and water) and the cloth filter in there (again soap and water). However if you do that, please make sure that the filter is 100% dry before putting it back into the unit.
Good luck,
Mark

Brush does not turn.
these stick mmachines do not have a tremendous amout of suction at the best of times but if it has a full bag, or full dirt container, or dirty exhaust fiters it will take away from the air flow as well. take a flashlight and look up in to the tube of the floor attachment to see if you can see something blocking the tube.If there is no obstructions it may have a roller bar that spins on the bottom , so turn it over and turn it on and if it has a roller bar and it is not spinning it probably needs abelt . If there is no roller bar and no blo0ckage chances are it is just weak at the floor tool as the air a further to travel all the way up from the floor so it takes away from the air flow again. good luck.
I cannot charge my two
It must be the charging transformer. We have already ruled out the vacuum unit. Unfortunately the transformer is not a serviceable part, and will need to be replaced.
My Electrolux pronto is slow to start, if it
I just wanted Electrolux to know that this is the Pronto 2-1 is the worst product I ever purchased. I thought after I received the new battery because of the recall it would work.
When I was going to purchase the stick broom I was going to get the Shark but because I knewElectrolux was a good name in products I decided to purchase the Electrolux which I truly regret because it was just a waste of money
No vacumm pressure
if you are certain no blockages ? and the dust collector is clear/clean ? have you checked that the outlet filter which is located inside dust compartment is clean/clear this is usually a gauze filter its purpose is - as vac works and draws dust into collector the air that is sucked up thro vac builds up in collector chamber or bag on most vacs? and so for vac to maintain suction the air has to be able to escape to atmosphere/room without dust which is left insude chamber/bag if fitted and so air escapes via the gauze vent as prev mentioned ? however if gauze filter is not clear to vent then vacuuum is restricted due to air drawn being unable to expel sometimes on vacs they will eventually cut off due to o/heat but will operate when cooled so may i suggest checking the above possibility ?
The brush turns then it stops. Does anyone else
The reason its stopping is because the belt is stretched out and when it rests on carpet or floor the weight of the vacuum presses down on floor causing more stretching and straining on belt. When belt heats from friction it gets softer thus causing more slippage.
Pronto doesn't work at all
Hi there SmartAlec from
NelsonVacuums.com.au here. I assume you are not from Australia as that machine is called an ergo rapido here. That machine here suffers from very dodgy switches but little else goes wrong. I would suggest it is a repair for a professional to replace the switch. If it is under 2 years old it should be a warranty repair. Hope this helps.
Happy Vacuuming! :)
Not charging. Lights up momentarily, then goes out
Sounds like it. How long have you had the vacuum? That's one of the draw backs of wireless vacuums. On top of providing less than adequate suction, the batteries have poor life spans. I suggest you go back to where you purchased it from and see if they can help you with a new battery
