Next press the television button continuously for about 1 minute. This is to drain the store power in the remotes microprocessor. You may have to do this more than once to drain all the stored power. After you have drained out the power of the remote, you can replace the batteries. The remote should be reset now and ready for use. If this does not solve the problem with function of the remote control, you may have a more serious problem with the button on the remote control.
