Washer drive hub P#WH40X10001

I have a he gtup270emww washer used very little. The washer was overloaded and quit working full of heavy wet clothes and water. The washer agitator does not operate. The water does not drain.

The light blinks. I have un plugged the washer to reset the motor and lifted and closed the lid 7 times. I drained the water by hand.

When I try to operate the washer, it adds water for 30 seconds, the water shots off and the green light blinks.

What is the fix?

Can you provide more information on the year of your stackables and if you have the exact model or serial number, that would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi, Check the lid switch. Most models will not drain or spin when the lid switch is bad.
If I can get the model#, I wil try and asist you further.

I had a similar problem with my GE Washer that leaked, and still won't spin. I fixed the leak though. It was from the pump, which is in the bottom front, and somewhat easy to get to. I just removed the front cover, and the pump is on the right side. The pump itself was not broken but one of the screws was corroded with rust, so water leaked from that area. I just had to take it apart, put in a new screw to get a tight seal, and no more leak.

Try fuse box turn off & turn on , May you have only 110 volt need 240 v

Look at it carefully to see whats in the way of the belt removal. If its still on the unit best to take some pics of it so you have a reference to make sure everything goes back where it should.

The coupler that connects the motor to the transmission is broken. Replace the coupler.

When in the wash cycle do you hear the motor running? If yes the motor to transmission shaft coupling is broken. Replace it.

It looks serious problem. You should go to your nearest repairer to solve the problems if you don't want to stay without your washer.

if you want only hot water, shut off the cold.. its only really used during the rinse anyway..

Check the drum for the large rubber band that should be around it. It might have slipped off or broken. It can be replaced.

SHOULD BE THE LID SWITCH... THERE IS TWO SWITCHS INSIDE, ONE THAT STOP THE MACHINE, AND ONE TO LOCK THE DOOR. YOU SHOULD SEE THERE IS TWO PAIRS OF WIRES THAT CONECT WITH THE LID SWITCH, ONE PAIR IN THE FRONT, AND ANOTHER PAIR IN THE RIGHT SIDE, THAT RIGHT SIDE IS THE PROBLEM, INSIDE THE LID SWITCH MUST BE BROKEN. TRY TO MOVE THE PLATED LOCKING PIN IN THE DIRECTION THAT LOCKS THE DOOR, AND IT MIGHT DRAIN AND SPIN. IF THAT THE PROBLEM, YOU SHOULD GET A NEW SWITCH (MODEL 134101800), AND YOURE DONE.GOOD LUCKMARIO

3 year old GE stackable washing machine, had water coming out the top and would not drain or go through cycle, when shut off it drained a little but when turned on again it filled up and over flowed.
