When i put on the ear phones there is no sound

if you have already tried different ear phones and if it didn't work then for sure the issue is with the device.I hope those ear phones you tried are working in other audio devices.just try to connect it to a external speaker like computer speakers to see the fault is really with the device and not the ear phones
before assming it as an hardware issue just try to back up whatever you have in the device format the device upgrade the firmware of the device you can do it by clicking here..try hearing the FM radio before going to songs from the computer if the FM radio works fine then try some MP3 format songs you stored in the device from computer..if still you have the same issue.. take it to the sansa repair service center with the bill so that they can help you out..
hope this was helpfull

This normally happens when a sugary liquid is split onto any item like this. It causes a coating over the button contacts meaning you can't operate them. The only solution is to take it apart and with a mild cleaner (DVD Lens Cleaner works well) and QTips clean away the residue.
