The problem does not seem to be that of the remote more so coz the front panel controls are not working either. I really believe that this is an issue related to faulty microprocessor circuits which means that we have to replace the main A/V board to resolve it. If you would like to do it yourself, then please remove the back cover of the tv and get me the part number thats printed on the large board at the center that has all the inputs.

What exactly do you mean by out of focus? Is it like blurry? Can you please upload an image so that I can see for myself?

measure it in inches diagonally from corner to corner of the tv screen not the tv itself,

the fan at the back of your tv casing is the exhaust fan..it regulates the temp. of your tv and it coolens the electronic component.....it's a warning sign means u need to check if still running, if not replace a new one...when neglected could result to damage in power supply..

Replace the Power supply Board and the part # 75002913.

This Toshiba TV will not support a external hard drive - SD or USB stick only and then keep it below 12gb as it cant handle it

Screen fault I'm afraid - seen this a fair bit, LCD screen expensive so hopefully you are covered by warranty. If you could find one the lvds pcb which is situated top center on the screen (the one with the drive lead plugged into) can be replaced if you are careful.

Use the menu and go to preferences, scroll down to auto format and switch off - select the size you want with the size button - job done

Sounds very much like a screen fault to me - the set powers up and senses the fault so shuts down again- seen this fault a fair bit I'm afraid.

this like the problem is not from your power supply, but from the tv mainboar, change it with new one, contact service center

Tries tv and cables or satellites boxes unplug,replug it back again like about an hour later.Tv will be resetting itself back to the factory setting and those boxes will updates it softwares.The tv should be working again.If have the same problems as before.Than the tv have a Tuner signal board problems,call Toshiba for a warrenty repair.

The problems is not the remote control.It is the tv itself,the tv power supply board is the causes and the problems.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.U have all tools and can u do basic soldering and understanding basic electronic?Check all over the power supply board looking for dying parts call capacitors.These capacitors are dying,require replacement alway bulges up or puffing up on it tops.Replaced all these dying capacitors that are bulging or puffing up on it tops,will solved the delaying power on to ur tv set.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the rerplacement.

possible hairline crack at the solder points of the sound/audio board. These boards are placed in the TV with NO back support, so simply pushing in any cable in the ports in the back will bend the board and crack their cheap solder connections.
The fix is to either get another board or carefully try the xbox 360 red ring of death heat gun fix. You tube this to see how it's done first and DON"T do it if you are not willing to replace the board with another if it fails because if not done perfectly, you could damage the board further.
