yes its the internal fuse,remove the cover and get a special replacement at the hardware store,but before you reach in discharge the oval shaped high voltage capacitor,it stores upwards of 2000volts a.c,then before you replace the fuse check the capacitor for a short circuit along with the high voltage diode attached to the cap for a short then replace the fuse if no short circuited components are found and plug in and try it

May be a defective fan switch or the unit is detecting some heat there--not likely to be a do it yourself repair--consider having a shop look at it for you---

Unplug microwave oven, take a long blade screwdriver with a insulated handle, short across the two points of the capacitor and hold it there for 10 seconds to make sure all residual charge is removed.

According to the manual, you press the clock button (This is not very helpful!) I imagine you press CLOCK then use the number to enter the time (so for 11:30, press 1, press 1, press 3, press 0) then (probably) press CLOCK again

Sears has went to a new model the MD series that you can purchase. There should be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.

To access & test the hood vent exhaust fan, you'll have to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

If you've misplaced yours, you can just enter your full model number (721.80002401) at the Sears parts site.

On the resulting page, look to the right for the blue "View manuals" button. Click there.



That Sears-related site has many free manuals. While the manuals they list there are all free, they may ask you to register.

Many times, the owner's manual will have the installation instructions inside.

If yours is not listed there for free, you would have to order it through the Sears parts site.

You can remove the oven from the wall, take off the outer cover, plug the oven in, and run it.

Then you can see if the motor leads are getting the voltage they need to run when turned on.

If your cooktop lights recently blew, the resulting surge can damage the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan, cooling fan, turntable, and/or inside light operation, too.

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

You just place in the food product into a non metallic bowl and set the timer and press start. Not sure what else you are wanting to know.

take a measurement and or bring the glass plate and what is left of the old wheel assembly and try home depot/lowes, or try a used appliance store that always helps me. Robert Alan

If that does not work go to www.searspartsdirect.com and search by model number.  Select the manual button at the right side of the page and if you do not see the manual on that page enter the model number in the search field at the top of that page.  The manual in PDF format is there.

no, just 1 main fuse for everything. there are temp safety devices though, and door closed safety switches. Most likely failure though is the magnatron.

Please post your exact brand and model number so we can steer you to the best supplier.

It turns itself on

1. Interlock switch If your microwave is turning itself on, the first thing to check is the interlock switch. This is usually the first thing to malfunction that could cause this issue. If the interlock switch is bad then it will need to be replaced.
2. Main control board If your microwave is turning itself on and the interlock switch is still working, the probable cause is the main control board. If the control board is defective it will need to be replaced.
