GE 30" Built-In Single Electric Wall Oven - Bisque-on-Bisque - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Excessive smoke comes out from oven when cooking
hmmm sounds a bit strange is there anything at the bottom of your oven that has been spilled on it even on the heating coils? (if electric) (if gas there could be a very serious problem with the oven that needs fixing right away!)
Control panel flashes F7
Hello,
The F7 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F7 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
Error code F1 is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Moreover, F7 also occurs due to stuck key in the control.....the recommended repair will be electronic control/clock assembly replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Open or shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD)
Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.
Oven is giving an F2 code and not keeping heat
HI, You will need to check the oven sensor wires that link the actual sensor to the main control board. Make sure that the contacts are connected properly, and not loose, or corroded. If all the wiring checks out, test the sensor for the correct resistance readings.(you will need a multimeter for this test)
The most common oven sensor should be approximately, 1100 ohms when at room temperature. The others may be close to as follows:
100°F - 1143 ohms
200°F - 1350 ohms
300°F - 1553 ohms
350°F - 1654 ohms
400°F - 1753 ohms
500°F - 1949 ohms
If the sensor test is adequate, and the wiring is Ok at the control, this will lead to a failed control board. replace the control in this case.
Sensor location
The sensor is, generally, located inside the oven, mounted on the back wall, on the top right, or left corner. There will be two screws holding the housing on the back of the oven wall. Once the screws are removed, the sensor will need to be extracted from the back side of the unit.
F7 error built-in oven
F7 is a stuck keypad error. Sometimes you can push every pad at random several times each to unstick the keypad.
If that fails the ERC(clock) will have to be replaced.
