Microwave turns on but will not operate

Probably best to have a repair tech look at it or just replace the microwave. You may have a problem either with the circuit board or with one of the door microswitches.

How do you safely remove a ge spacemaker microwave oven from its wall mount?

This is a two person job. You have to have one person holding it and the other takes the screws out from the cabinets above the unit. There should be two screws that are inside the cabinet that hold it up against the bottom of the cabinets. When those are loose you can slide the unit forward on the rails that attach to a large wall bracket. Or some use a lift type latch to the wall bracket.

Unistall ge microwave

Kurt, If you are talking about an over the oven microwave, you will need help because of safety concerns with the weight of the microwave. There should be 3 screws in the cabinet above the microwave and that is also usually where you will find the power cord plugged in. Unplug the unit and with someone holding on to the bottom of the microwave, take out the 3 screws and let the microwave tilt forward for several inches and then you can lift the back of the microwave off of the wall bracket that is behind it. Hope this helps!

Can I replace the door locking mechanism on a GE JVM1650 microwave oven?

If you are talking about the 2 hooks that stick out of the door, in most cases yes they are replaceable. also the switches behind the holes the hooks go into are also replaceable. Door hooks can be accessed by carefully prying off the plastic inner door frame around the hooks. You have to be gentle or the frame will crack. Take your time and go slowly all the way around the door.

My GE microwave oven is making a loud noise and doesn't seem to be heating up. What is wrong with it?

if it is a humming sound and not a motor or fan u probably have a bad magnatron or power supply component causing a heavy load.
