I have a 2003 Whirlpool

Hi

1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.

2. Check for the continuity of the heating element in your gas dryer using a multimeter. Replace the element if continuity is not there.

3. Inspect the thermal fuse if it is burnt out, it is attached to the exhaust duct on the back panel of the gas dryer. Replace if necessary.

4. Check the igniter by first disconnecting it, and then place the probes onto the two contacts of the igniter. The meter should read under 100 Ohms of resistance, if it is above 100 then replace the igniter.

5. Check the continuity on the flame sensor. The sensors are usually located close by the igniter so are easily visible.

Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I just purchased a Whirlpool

here is a diagram of how a three/four wire plug hooks up:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=10&newsdesk_id=5

if it is hooked up correctly, then you will need to have a multimeter and check for the 220volts on the terminal. I do not think its the door as the panel is not getting power, if you have the 220 volts on the terminal then you will need to remove the back top panel and find the wiring diagram and check for voltage to the control board. Since you did just purchase it, then they should have a repair guy that can come out and fix it. Basically, if you can verify that the machine is getting the correct voltage then there is a problem with the machine, more then likely the control board. I hope this helped Tim

My dryer drum squeels when it turns. Can it be

The squealing is caused by worn drum belt and/or drum rollers. The belt cannot be oiled but the drum rollers can be. Replace the drum belt if worn and/or the drum rollers if oiling doesn't resolved the squealing. All of the drum rollers must be replaced even if only one is worn.

There is a switch that gets activated when the door is closed -- it sounds like this switch is bad. Switches are relatively inexpensive... you can have a repairman replace it, or you can purchase it yourself from PartSelect.com (but you have to know what it looks like):

I have a Whirlpool model WFW9600TW01 front loading

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.
