My guess is the wires that come from the screen and plug in the circut board have been jarred loose they my be all the way unplugged and just cocked to the side. if you r brrave enough to open it up its a easy fix. or you could send it to garmin and pay a couple ben franklins to have them fix it. either way good luck

goto preferences scroll through to the last page u will see change language tap on it and change ur language

If you are plugging into the wall, you may have a bad plug. Try plugging the USB into the computer and see what happens.

Try updating the software. I had a similar problem with a TomTom One and that fixed it. You can download it from the TomTom website.

Straight from the TomTom website:

To reset your TomTom device, do the following:

1. Check that the battery is charged properly.
   Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.
   
   
2. Remove the SD card
   If your device uses an SD card, remove it.
   
   
3. Reset your device.
   Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button for 15 seconds. See the pictures below for where to find the reset button.
   
   
4. Turn your device on.
   Press the On/off button for at least 5 seconds.
   
   
5. Insert the SD card
   If your device uses an SD card, insert the SD card.

if you mean the tiny hole the size of a paper clip, thats the rest for the unit...you use to reset the unit if your having trouble with it.

yes, but you have to use one of the computer generated voices, because it not capable of announcing street names with human voices.

tap the map screen, then the little wrench icon, then scoll to the page with the voice options (chance voice) and select a computer generated one.


if you can find it, let me know...its also possible someone has deleted the computer voices, in that case, youll have to download tomtom home to get them back.

This sounds as if it isn't completing the "boot up". Try sticking a long thin plastic point into the small round reset hole under the bottom. then try turning on again. Allow same five minutes for it to boot up from scratch. It should give a tomtom
drum noise as it starts successfully.

if the unit will not charge then the internal battery is defective and it will need to be replaced, the batteries in these uniots last about 2 years on average.

There are no maps with the TomTom Home. After you install it, connect your device to the computer and perform an update (if your 30 day guarantee free updtae is still valid).
The maps come in the device.

You just reset it in order to work it out better again, just refer your user manual all instructions, how to reset is there. Hope it may helps.

i dont know if tomtom have this option for all countries. in some countries they have, with warnings for height and weight. i think you have to buy a special set of maps. i hope you can use this information. greetings

hi, i suggest you want to erase some info from your tomtom. two ways. first is factory reset, is in the menu, when you do this al personal info will be erased. second way is using tomtomhome, to erase languages, tones, bleeps etc, to create free space. good luck.
