If its not a faulty charger, then u may have a loose mini usb connector

What you need to do is to reset your unit. To reset your device, First check that the battery is properly charged. Allow the tom tom charge for about 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.

Reset your device by using a straightened paper clip or something similar to push the reset button for about 15 seconds.

Then you turn on your device by pressing and holding the power button for about 15 seconds. The picture of where the reset button is on your device is shown below.

Tomtom GPS devices come with a variety of windshield suction mounts. All have in common that the windshield and the suction cup both must be clean; use a mild soap dispersed in some warm water to remove any dirt. Rinse properly. Sometimes it helps to keep the cup a little moist.

Make sure the cup is not warped due to previous exposure to heat, and check for any nicks in the rubber. Small damage may easily make the mount unusable and you'd need to get a replacement.

Models with a lever mechanic: open the lever (cup becomes flat), press the cup against the windshield and while keeping pressure, close the lever. It will lift the middle of the cup away from the windshield, causing a vacuum.

Models with a ring around the cup base: Turn the ring all the way counter-clockwise (cup becomes flat), press cup against windshield and while keeping pressure, turn the ring clockwise 90 degrees. This requires some force, but in my experience these mounts stick more reliable,

If you had just started the device, you may have to wait a minute or so for the software (programs) to load, initialize, etc. before you start getting the user screens. Just make sure you are plugged in, or the battery is not low. When the programs start and after the GPS (satellite) signals are located, you'll be able to see your current location, etc. (and start using the device).

Usually, when it's waiting to get a valid GPS signal, it is "listening" (scanning) for satellite signals to establish your current location. If you are in the open outdoors, i.e. not inside a building or under extended covers, it should get the satellite signals within a minute or so.

First reset your tom tom gps device, that way your language will be back at the default language. To reset your tom tom hold down the power button for about 15 seconds, it will restart itself automatically, that way you will have to chose the language once again. Or you can simply remove the battery and reinstall it in once again. Or you can connect it to a computer and format the gps and download its software back on. That is a sure solution

4. Tap change language,

I have just purchased a Tomtom GO 750 Live. Tomtom home 2.7 does not run on Windows 7 ultimate (32 bit). When I try to open up my Tomtomhome 2.7, I get this:
TomTomHomeRuntime, exefailed with error 0: Process failed to start up correctly.

There is nothing wrong with the signal, I know this because I just used my GPS, the problem is that the receiver for the signal from the orbiting geosynchronous satellites is defective, you will either have to send it in to Tomtom for repair or replace it based on repair cost, which on average is $125.00 (USD)

I am also facing same problem with a no name gps navigator.. did you find the solution

The proceedures of updating the device in three steps
1. contact the technical experts of tom tom online and register the device .
2. that should make avalible potential updates since yours in already malfunctioning
3. then, reestablish the system making sure not the allow to get outdated

Try resetting the unit - the unit has a small reset button close to the docking base socket. Press that for 10 - 15 seconds.
