your oven is not spinning,when u put some load,either the motor which makes the spinning is not picking up the load,so u get the motor serviced or change the carbon brushes which comes in front of the armature of your spinner.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.

This can be caused by slamming the door or by habitually opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

I would suggest not using it and having a qualified repair technician look at it. The lights flashing would concern me that there may be an electrical sorry or another electrical issue going on.

On model DCM24, that's usually a defective bottom door switch, or its mount is loose, misaligned, or broken. The service manual is here, and my help file on door switches is here. Some ovens use a plastic material, which is impregnated with a ferrite material, to choke microwave leakage at the edge of the door. If this is melted, the oven should not be used, and it would have to be replaced. After replacement, a leakage test would have to be done. That would be your waveguide cover. If damaged or discolored, the waveguide cover has been damaged by heat and must be replaced. It protects your waveguide and magnetron from arcing due to grease and food particles. The area of the waveguide behind the waveguide cover should be clean, and if rust or flaking is present it must be sanded, then repainted with high temperature appliance paint. For Dacor model DMT2420S, the waveguide is part number 66345 and you can get it from The Pros here for $11.07 (subject to change). hi Richard, from experience i would say the power supply to the magnetron is at fault, you must take extreme care if you intend to test the supply as the high voltages involved... Regards Rob
