Thread 1 keeps snapping

Is it possible the thread might be too old? If so, it might tend to break easier than normal. Also if it got wet.

The tread from the lower looper is not being picked up by the upper looper how o i fix this?

Best advice would be to consult your owner's manual. The most common serger problems are caused by incorrect threading or not threading the threads in the proper order. With most sergers, the upper looper should be threaded first. The lower looper is threaded second and the lower looper thread tail should drape OVER the upper looper. Then thread the needles. Be sure when threading that each thread is pulled snugly into the tension disks. ...

I bendt my needles, and after changing them it

Once the thread breaks, the serger usually has to be re-threaded - all four components of the serger.

Raise the antenna to it's highest position.

Open the tensions to zero.

Turn the handwheel so the the loopers are at their highest position. Some sergers have a mark on the handwheel that aligns with a mark on the side of the serger for this step.

Thread according the the sequence indicated on the threading guide - this is either on the inside of the door or on the serger.

My janome mylock 644d threads are continually breaking, have threaded the machine correctly, will sew for a few centimetres and then thread breaks. Any suggestions?

If you have not already done so, try changing your needles. Sometimes the needles will be slightly bent or dull and cause thread breaks. If this does not help check your tensions. These should be set somewhere between 4 and 6 generally. If one is far out of this range, try resetting it. If you try both these things and still have trouble, it is likely that your machine is out of time. In this situation it would be best to take your machine to a reputable sewing machine repair shop for repair. Retiming a serger can be very difficult for a novice, and can be quite and unpleasant and tedious job, best left to a professional who is well versed in serger repair.
