I just bought a used juki DDL 8500 industrial

I just bought the same machine and mine came with a photocopied manual. There is indeed a bobbin winder on the side, there's a flat section on the side of the bobbin winder closest to you, if you push that forward it connects a wheel attached to a bobbin spoke, to the belt that runs between the machine and the motor. To wind the bobbin, put the bobbin on sideways onto the axis of the wheel that is on the inside of the machine, and push the bobbin winder forward.
If you're looking for where the bobbin case is located on the machine, if you look underneath the machine on the left hand side, there should be a metal belly, on the left side of the belly is an opening, and in there sits the bobbin casing.
I think you were asking for either one of these answers, I'm on here troubleshooting for my Juki DDL-8500, good luck with yours, hopefully I can find what I need to know too!

Which way to put the needle in the Juki, The

The indent is called the scarf.

The scarf will be at the 3 o'clock position and, if you look closely, you will see the hook pass the needle at the scarf.

Filling the bobbin with my Juki DDL-5550-6

It's actually designed that way on purpose so you can wind a bobbin while sewing. If you lift the presser foot, at least it'll make less noise in the process.

Wont pick up bobbin thread when i start sewing

Hi!

Is the bobbin case pushed all the way in?
The upper thread could be tangled.
Remove the thread completely from the machine.
The correct size spool cap should be used for the size of the thread spool.
Re-thread the machine according to the directions in the manual.
You probably need to insert a new needle.

Juki 8300N

Dear Rosemarie,

Make sure you have threaded the machine from right to left, it sounds like the needle thread is trapped under the lower looper thread and cannot form a stitch.........start the threading over from scratch like this:

  1. Lower Looper
  2. Upper Looper
  3. Left Needle
  4. Right Needle
Is there a diagram for how to thread on the inside of the door ?

Follow that slowly and carefully to make sure you have not missed any thread guides on the way, as each one needs to be followed through to ensure correct tension and thread progression.

Cheerup and Be Happy always
