How do I get a operating and trouble shooting manual for a dometic royale rv refrigerator?

Contact the manufacturer, Absorption refrigeration is an infrequently used alternative to compression refrigeration. Absorption refrigerators use a solution of ammonia and water as refrigerant fluid. A gas flame heats the ammonia and provides the energy that drives the cooling process. These models are generally very simple and have few moving parts. This is a very straightforward process. There are three main principles behind proper operation of an absorption refrigerator. Place the refrigerator on a level surface. Make sure that it is adequately ventilated. Check that the correct heat is being applied in the boiler. As long as there are no leaks, this should be enough for the refrigerator to work properly. 26221158-mphdxicprhhfnr3kbma525zz-5-1.jpg

Works good when rv plugged in to AC LP or AC but even if runnin in LP and I remove the power cord shuts down and red x is on , wont try to start up.

If it's a refrigerator problem, I would look towards the rear circuit board first. It sounds to me like you probably have an issue with your inverter. The refrigerator operates on 12V DC, not AC. So when you unplug it, it should stay on and simply start working on the LP side of things. Try hooking the refrigerator up to an independent 12V battery. It should work perfectly fine when you unplug the unit from AC at that point. You most likely have something called AC ripple caused from a bad inverter. Freezer works but refrigerator doesn't get cold

There is a flapper mechanism in the freezer that directs the flow of cold freezer air into refrig compartment. If it is not working properly and is in the closed position the refrigerator will be much warmer than normal. Also make sure that the evaporator fan in freezer is running - it pushes the air out.

Domestic fridge bottom won't cool but freezer still freezes, what may be the problem?

The freezer feeds cold air into the refrigerator section to provide cooling. Make sure that the freezer evaporator fan is operational as well as the baffle (trapdoor) that feeds the refrig section.

Dometic fridge won't stay lit on gas, how can I fix this?

  1. The discolored flame tells me it has an incorrect mixture of gas and air. Dirt, plugged filter and other obstructions to the gas flow. Moisture in the gas line would also be a problem. The orifice could also be damaged. Yellow flame usually means not enough gas and too much air. Check for anything that may be obstructing the air flow that comes up through a shutter below the orifice. The shutter can be adjusted allowing more or less air to the flame.
  2. Thermocouple is okay or the flame would not stay on at all. Seems the thermostat is working since conditions change when there is a demand for cooling.

Question: I have a trailer camper it has a Dometic Rm 2652 Ameri. refrig.

If I remember right on those, the system works off 12 volt--120 volt-- or propane (LP gas). have you tried one of the other power source to run it off of?? If you get the same type cooling results the problem is probably a small leak in the freon system. Those use special internal gas. When I worked for GE the only way to fix them was to replace the complete cooling system which came pre-charged with the special internal gas. Quite expensive after the warranty. Now if you switch power source and one of the other sources make it work the problem will be with the type power you were using when it failed to cool properly. Many people that had system problems with those camper type refrigerators removed them and installed a small regular dorm style refrigerator that could only be run off a 120 volt power system. You would need a 12 volt to 120 converter to run it while on the road if thats what you want to do.

We have a Dometic RM2453 refrig - it works on gas but not elec. We think is he heater 210W,120v however, we do not know how to check the omis reading Do you know what it should

I just checked one i had laying around and it was 63.5 ohms between the two wires, you can also test between either wire and the heater metal to make sure its an open circuit(If its closed the element is bad.) Or if your so inclined you can always wire a plug directly to the two wires(hooked up either way) and plug it in and if it pops your breaker or doesn't heat up you know its bad :)

Dometic 3way fridge model RM2350R. the fridge works ok, but when i run it on gas the flame lights first time, but the flame indicater does not work, the thermocuple has the right ajustment,is clean,wh

The flame indicator works on very low voltages from electricity generated via the thermocouple. Check the connections and if OK, I would say you are correct in assuming the indicator has failed. These are very sensitive and a bit of a knock can damage them. Try Dometic or Electrolux for a replacement indicator.

Where is reset button on rm2611

There is no reset button on that model. If your fridge wont turn on it is more than likely a fuse in the electronic board or that you do not have 12volt going to the refrigerator. ArctiCold Refrigeration We keep it cold

Dometic refrigerator troubleshooting rm 3662,

Hi, It is more then likely the heating element or a fuse in the electronic board located on the rear of the refrigerator. The heating element is located on the right hand side looking at the rear of the refrigerator. It is the probe like item that protrudes from the duct work with two black wires attached. You must disconnect the wires from the board then take the door off of the duct work, the the heating element will slide upwards to remove it.
