About kenmore model# 253.65802508. Compressor

HI,
First of all thank you very much for all the great detailed information. I wish I had a cheap repair answer for you, but is sounds like the unit is either open (one of the tubes to the seal system has cracked or broke) which will cause the problem you have, called a low charge. Before you go any further, look for oil around all the tubing you can see... THERE SHOULD BE NONE!! If you find oil, you have found your leak and this would need to be repair. You may need to professional to complete this for you. Or someone who have to proper equipment to seal this system up for you.
Good Luck I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

The top freezer is working but lower part

There is a drain that carries water from the freezer to a drain pan in the base of the fridge. It has plugged preventing water from draining and in turn the water has froze blocking the flow of air to the fridge. First you must find the drain line in the rear of the fridge and unplug it as well as thaw the fridge out overnight to allow the water to drain... be patient as there will be a lot of ice to be thawed out, let me know if it works! good luck!

Water is collecting on the top shelf & in the

if you have water leaking down from the freezer into the fridge you have a blocked drain in the freezer,if you pulled off the back inside wall of the freezer and melted the ice off of the coil you should have noticed that the water wasn't draining down the drain hole under the coil.pull off the back inside wall of the freezer, look under the coil and you'll see a drain hole, when the freezer defrosts the ice melts and goes into the drain hole and down into the pan at the bottom of the fridge where the compressor is and it evaporates, your drain is blocked and the water is draining into the fridge section.unplug it,melt out any ice with a hair dryer, now you have to clear the drain line,i use a steemer to do this,it blows steem down into the drain and cleans it out in no time but if you don't have a steemer you need something that will push air down into the hole like a turkey baster or even a shop vac, pull off the hose and stick it into the other hole and then you can blow through the drain line with it,when you think the line is clear pour hot water into the hole,if it drains through your done,if not keep hitting it,also if you open the fridge door and with the hair dryer heat up the middle ceiling in the back, that's also part of the drain,in the middle of the ceiling and back wall where they meet, heat it up for around 5 minutes and then try the water,it will clear out,it could take around an hour or so to do it.

My fridge is leaking inside. I have a top freezer

The defrost problem. The unit is not defrosting on time.--------

. First try manual defrost reset procedure. The procedure is as follows: ----

First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. It will take near to 4 hours to get run in its proper cooling cycle. Then check, if the problem returns again. Then its defrost board problem. -------------

If it's again building up ice that means the unit is not defrosting. It's starting the cooling procedure, and then while defrosting, it's not working. The defrost assembly consists of three main parts. The defrost thermostat, the defrost heater and defrost board. Any of the one is not functioning. When thermostat sense the maximum cooling, it triggers the defrost heater to start heating and this defrosts the ice collected on the coils and the system works. Both thermostat and heater are controlled by defrost board. First the thermostat and defrost heater to be checked, if both check ok by meter and visually, then its defrost board causing the problem. You can get required parts from from online sites like: --- www.repairclinic.com or from searspartsdirect online site. --------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

My fridge is making a lot of noise. It does not

This is a basic no frills refrigerator so that things that can make a lot of noise is limited. And where you say it doesn't stop, then it is most likely a fan. You have two one in the freezer compartment that could have accumulated some ice on the blades which could through it out of alignment. So it might be hitting the sides of the case.

The other fan is underneath your cabinet, and blows air across the compressor, and condenser coil. If there is a lot of lint or debie in this area then the fan blades could be come coated and then the out of balance condition could cause noise.

If a cleaning doesn't fix the problem then you will probably have to replace the fan blades and motor.

Ice has formed on the bottom of the freezer about

Most likely the cause of your problem is a faulty defrost system. The ice is building up on the evap coil in the freezer, so the air from the fridge can't get cooled by the coil. The common failures are the defrost heater burning out, or a defective defrost timer if yours is an older model. The heater is mounted on the coil. To get access, you will need to remove the back panel in the freezer. There you will find the coil and heater. You will need to use a hair dryer to melt the ice off the coil.

Is the dial to adjust temp coldest set at low

The dial inside the fresh food compartment, the bottom compartment
set to middle or above (higher numbers mean colder). Usually 5 to 9 if it has numbers.

Freezer knob in the middle if it has one. (If you set a freezer knob to "colder" it cuts
off the cold air to the lower compartment). Hope this helps

Water collecting on top shelf of refridgerator

Your defrost drain line in the freezer has stopped up. The defrost water is coming in through the air vent to the fresh food section.
Turn the unit off and use a hair dryer to defrost the drain hole located behind the freezer panel.

So, recently my power was knocked out by a storm.

All that ice melted and the water ran down under the refridg into the motor compartment. If lucky there may be a pan in there for small amounts of moisture...but in this case you probably over filled it.
You will have to get behind fridge at the bottom, remove the small panel near the floor & look & clean it out.
