Toner Empty Message
If a Toner Empty Message is Still Displayed After a New Print Cartridge Has Been Installed, Enter the Tech Mode and Perform a Manual Reset
CAUTION: Make sure to follow this solution carefully as incorrect settings made in the Tech mode can cause the machine to become inoperable. The Tech mode is intended to be used by service and support personnel only.
Before performing this solution, make sure a new Xerox PE220 SmartKit Print Cartridge has been installed into the machine. Other print cartridges are not compatible with the machine and a manual reset should not be attempted.

To enter the Tech mode and perform a manual reset:
- Enter the Tech mode:
- Press the [Menu] button on the Control Panel.
- Press [#], [1], [9], [3], [4] using the numeric keypad. 'Tech' will be displayed on the Display Screen.
- Press the [Menu] button until 'Data Setup' is displayed.
- Press the [Enter] button on the Control Panel.
- Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button on the Control Panel until 'Clear Counts' is displayed.
- Press the [Enter] button.
- Press [1], [9], [3], [4] using the numeric keypad.
- Press the [Enter] button.
- Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button until 'Used Toner Cnt' is displayed.
- Press the [Enter] button.
- Power OFF the printer using the power switch on the rear, right side of the printer.
- Wait 30 seconds and then power ON the printer
Scan to email
Scan to email needs an IP address or the SMTP server name and the port. Now it depends if you use an SMTP server or are you just at home? Normaly the SMTP port is 25. The SMTP server could be the one you use in your email account as well. Something like mail.upc.ie. If you dont have a SMTP server you cant set up scan to email.
