You can reformat your mp3 player by plugging it to your computer. Connect it using the USB connection provided by your player. Check that you have power at the outlet, (by plugging something else in), and check that nothing has chewed the supply lead. After that I would say that the power supply inside the unit has died. Pull it apart and check the voltage(s) with a multimeter but, only if you have some electrical know how and equipment.

When you connect it to the computer is it showing as a portable drive? IF so you should be able to browse it and delete them that way, or you could format it .

If you have a remote version here is how it works. Press timer menu, hours should flash, then press up an down arrows until you get to clock set. Press enter on remote. press up an down arrows to set hours, then press enter. Minutes now flash, press up an down to set, press enter on remote clock starts.

Its broken. The electronics supplying the picture have failed. The rest of seems to be working. It would cost more to repair than to replace, buy a used one on ebay. Better still buy an old used Creative MP3 player, (not a new one) my creative ZEN runs with a 128gb SD card in it, and sounds great.
