My player cannot be detected on pc
Hi ladybluey_21
Try this solution to your problem.
Go to Device ManagerTo get to Device Manager you will:Right click on My Computer>Properties>click the Hardware Tab>Device Manager. After you are in Device Manager look for your MP3 player or Unit. Here you should see no "Yellow" exclamation points. If you do they they are telling you that you have a device conflict. If you currently have your unit plugged in, you may notice the "unknown device" which would be your Player or Unit.If you unit has an exclamation point by it, then you will need to click on it and delete it.After you remove all devices with conflicts then click on refresh and search again for your MP3 player/Device.The computer should install your device this time and solve your problem with connection of the MP3 player/Device.Please take time to rate me.Bud

MP3 PLAYERS When you connect the MP3 player to your computer with the supplied USB cable then computer detects the player as an external storage device or a Removable disk, you can then view the folder on your MP3 player. Open the music folder and create a new folder on the player exactly the same way you create a folder on your computer's hard drive. To organise your music, make a folder name with the name of the music album and place the album's MP3 files in this folder, then copy the mp3 files from the computer into this folder. You will then be able to select the music you want to play by the music album folder. To delete a file from your MP3 player, connect the supplied USB cable to your player and then plug it into the USB port of your computer. The computer will detect your player then click on this device to view the files, you can then click on the music file to highlight the file and then press the Del key to delete the file off your MP3 player. Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. Click on this link for instructions on converting video files for MP3 players :-

How long should I charge my sony walkman before
Well, though there are no hard and fast rules for charging your MP3 player still I would recommend you to charge the player for atleast 2 hours before you start using it. Then ensure that you drain the batteries completely before charging them up again.
Hope you find this helpful.

Anand

Sony walkman won't turn off
That's what all Walkmans do. They only seem to go into standby when they say power off. Batteries drain anyway, but maybe it is being switched back on accidentally, so you need to turn the hold switch on. Even then, it is not properly switched off, it just stops things happening like music starting to play. I find this very annoying too.
Sony Walkman NWZ s616f is not recognized by Media Player anymore
I have a Sony NWZ-S638F and this just happened to me - I think a registry clean up utility did it but in could have been a Norton 360 reinstall too. I am not technical but I stumbled on a solution.
I realised that something had gone wrong when connecting the player's USB cable I heard a triple bong instead of the usual upward double bong. The computer was recognising a connection but the device could not be found anywhere - believe me, I searched.
The device manager for the player said "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration
information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
Anyhow, I tried system restores which didn't work. I tried reloading the software from the Sony DVD which didn't work. Finally, I decided to uninstall the driver through frustration and partly because I thought it low risk as the player is meant to be plug 'n play and I've got the DVD so if all went bad I should be able to reinstall and be no worse off.
I went to Device Manager, selected + at Portable devices, double clicked Walkman NWZ-S...etc selected the driver tab and clicked the uninstall button. I then connected the player using its USB cable and heard the upward double bong. Eureka. After following the on-screen instructions for a new device and it works just fine.
Hopes this helps.
Crackin screen
call the directory assistance and ask the telephone number and the nearest sony repairing shop. you can't fix the damage of your walkman, only in the sony reparing shop who can do that, because the screen needs a replament for that.
