I cant find a way to put videos my Philips Mp3
You have to use the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter to convert/transfer videos. If the converter is not recognizing a specific video type - FLV, for instance - download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder and convert the videos to AVI format first. Then the Philips Media Converter will recognize them.
The Philips Media Converter is not capable of converting an entire DVD - you will have to acquire video editing software, and then break up the DVD files into 15-minute chunks, and then convert each chunk.
If you are getting a codec error, do a google search for free video codecs - they are out there. Windows Codec Pack and downloading the latest version of quicktime will give you most of these needed codecs.
This player is not capable of playing copyright-protected videos - so don't even bother with them.
Additional information is available both from Philips website and from Arcsoft's website.

My gogear if frozen. Will not power off. computer is not recognizing it when plugged in.
Hello :
Your GoGear may not respond to button presses from time to time. This is often caused by an error in the operating system and can be fixed by resetting the device. Resetting the GoGear is similar to rebooting your computer. You will not lose any of the data uploaded to the device. To reset the GoGear, press the "Reset" button located on the left of the device. The screen will go blank for a few seconds and then turn back on.
If the GoGear freezes after uploading a file to the device or if one song or sound file freezes the device each time you play it, the file is likely corrupt and needs to be removed from the GoGear. Connect the GoGear to a computer and delete the file from the device.

how do i turn shuffle off philips GoGear ?
Go to your settings menu, playback mode, set it to "Repeat" instead of shuffle. You'll be able to play your playlist alphabetically beginning to end, but only by album or artist after that. I think when it gets done with the last song it'll stop? Not sure. Not enough info on the WWW.

I have a Phillips Go Gear Ariaz MP player 8gb. The USB Devices (and ive tried THREE) are not recognised by Windows. I have a Sony Vaio with Windows Vista. It has worked normally in the past, then intermittantly, now not at all. If i connect my Go Gear to my laptop with a USB, it will charge the MP player, but it will not transfer music from laptop to Phillips MPplayer. The message on Windows Media Player just says "Connect a Device" My Drivers seem fine, USB Ports are fine, ive run software updates and ive tried it with both MSC and MTP settings on the MP Player....no luck!

I own a Philips GoGear RaGa 4GB MP3 player, and downloaded Songbird. I imported my iTunes library, along with all playlists, and the transfer from iTunes to Songbird was successful. I only wanted one of my iTunes playlists on the Philips RaGa, so I clicked that option for syncing. After syncing it, only 32 of 100+ songs will show up on the decive. After syncing it several more times, formatting it, and restoring it to factory settings, only the 32 songs are just showing up. It's a brand new MP3, and this is my first day trying to put music on it. I've never used Songbird, and I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong. I'm also unsure if this has anything to do with it, but, the USB Readers, under devices, keeps saying "No storage media is currently available on USB Reader. To enable access, select "Mass-Storage Mode", "USB Drive", or similar option on your device". I have no clue what this means, or how to do it. Is there any help someone can offer?
I had the exact same thing happen! It was driving me up a wall trying to figure it out. Finally I decided to go to the START menu and hit RUN. Figured I'd go to the E:/ drive and see if I could do something from there.
A little box popped up, saying that the device was not formatted and asked if I'd like to format it. So I hit yes, read the lil info that popped up on the boxes, and clicked the QUICKFORMAT box. That seemed to do it for me, my device took the music back on it.
Hopefully that works for you. Typically I'm a Zune fan, but mine I had for 6 years and it finally croaked on me. Plus I needed something small to take with me jogging and this seemed to be the perfect solution. If that doesn't take care of it, I say take it back to the store and get it replaced or get it repaired.
