Yes, try to clean RAM and change its slot.You can also check running chkdsk from recovery console using OS bootable CD.

2)Right Click My computer
3)Click properties
4)Select Hardware Tab
5)Click Device Manager
6)Click on the cross of System Devices
7)Right Click Microsoft UAA Bus driver for high definition Audio
8)Uninstall this (this is the problem making place and this might indicated as yellow color explanation mark before you uninstall it)Just uninstall it
9)Now install your newly downloaded drivers which i have asked you to download in the previous post.
10)System will ask to restart momentarily just follow the instructions and reassert .
Once all the installation and restarting are done your Audio will work with out any issues

you ight have a BAD CPU, try checking it out on another pc or friends pc.

It could be your video either the on board Video or the card you have installed. If you installed a Video card make sure it is fully seated and properly installed. If you are using the on board video make sure you have the jumpers set correctly and you have no bent pins on your cable to the monitor. Test the monitor on another computer to be sure the monitor is working.

In the bios. Change from onboard graphics to agp or pci express.

Dear Charlotte, I assume you had got a driver CD when buying your laptop or desktop or motherboard. If you posses it right now, just insert the CD in the DVD Drive and install the Audio Driver, which is normally provided by the Companies like Realtek or IDT or something else. Good day..! if your motherboard was not working,try to boot it up using other memory and video card,or need to cleaned it up coz dust is one of the causes in hanging up your computer.But if its still not working,you better replace mother board..thanks

this is due to a very big reason as u havn't install your vga driver, only if none of the game is running,otherwise all ur pc's physical factor like grafhic option,ram etc,thank u and have a nice day

After a fresh install of an operating system you have to set up your sound again or a format of your hard drive if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers make sure you have selected the (((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there also click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it if his does not fix the problem click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume control settings you will need to right click on the volume icon system select adjust volume
