Sir
i want to connect
Hi there,
Drivers
Link for your motherboard.
1. Check where you plug your 3.5mm headphone jack.
2. It should be plugged in the green Line Out connector.
3. Check the Speaker icon on the status bar if muted.
4. Play an audio or video file, wait for a dialog box informing you if sound drivers are not installed.
5. If drivers not installed click the link above, select OS and download.
6. Install the downloaded driver and reboot.
7. Use your headphone in another device for functionality testing. It might be defective.
Hopefully this helps.
Thankyou for posting.
Post your OS for further help.

if you are having problems
with your sound

click start control panel

sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the

settings there
also
click start control panel
sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker
volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place
icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the
problem
have you tried this control panel sounds and
audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop
down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to
expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device
(enable) also you might check

The audio doesn't work when
If you only can't hear the audio when using certain media playback software , first of course make sure that your sound card shows up in the device manager , then go to the control panel & select "sound / voice" option , open the audio mixer & make sure that it didn't somehow get set to mute .
The next step would be to download the latest drivers for your sound card from the manufactures website , install & reboot .
Finally download the latest version of Klite Codec Pack Full
http://www.filefactory.com/file/cbc1f4d/n/K-Lite_Codec_Pack_710_Full.exe
Install the codec pack & reboot your pc , you should be set to watch & hear nearly every format of video or audio file .

SYSTEM HALTED
You amy already know but, your board is mainly Intel with, 945GC and ICH7 chipstets and Intel GMA950 graphics. Has realtek ALC883 for onboard sound. I'm not sure whether you mean crashed, froze, or what. Do you have a graphics card? Was it running slow before "halt". Have you tried to reset and if so what happened. Could you please provide what system you have,ie; Dell, HP, etc., model number, waht version of windows your running and, if you have a graphics card, a make and model # on that If your running Windows 7 there may be compatabilty problems with old software. If you need drivers you can get them here;

My video card is GE
Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers
If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
Want to make sure your drivers are in place and no errors have occurred? Simply click start right click on my computer select properties then select device manager scroll to Display Adapters and click on the small "+" you should see the model of your PCI Express graphic card there. If there is a problem with it, a yellow exclamation mark should appear besides it. If you don't see it everything is OK and your card is working properly. Hope this helps don't forget to vote
