INTRUDED....SYSTEM HAULTED

there should be a little push button located somewhere on the case where the access panel meets the case itself, if pc is started with access panel off you will get that message, there are two ways of disabling that feature,... locate the little push button and there should be a wiring harness coming off of it going to the motherboard, just disconnect from the motherboard, or if you dont want loose wires in your system you can go into bios and disable it from there, should be under security or something similar to that, hope this helps

Spdif not working

WHAT IS SPDIF? NEVER HEARD OF IT! Please, do not asume of any problems and next, please do not tamper withthe mother board. I go through many mother boards every day that have been tampered with... The information you have given me is not enough to draw conclusions on. We need the computer maker's name, model number. The ASUS number that you have given me is either incorrect or incomplete. ASUS prints their model, number in a place that is difficult to find it and become a screwdriver mechanic. Please look in between the PCI sockets on the bottom of the MB. The PCI sockets are those sockets that are white in color. There may be two, three or four. In between these sockets, you will find the motherboard number, as well as other information at times (serial number and version). The version also appears on the left top or left bottom, on the screen during the start up cycle. Once we have that info. we will begin checking the easy things first and gradually to the more advanced. Please, do not tamper with the MB. We appreciate your consideration of our service. Please return with the info. we get graded that way...

Power...yes...boot no

Hi Simon, I'm hoping you made a typo. You stated you are using DDR3 memory? The board can not run DDR3...
To check you're CPU go to the CPU section in you're bios & look for hardware monitor. Sit there a while & watch the motherboard temp & CPU temp. You really need an internal speaker. Suprised Asus did not supply one with the board!
You can get one here. http://store.cwc-group.com/casp.html
A must have tiny bugger. The memory slots you are using are correct, A1 & A2. (Memory speed is questioned, DDR2 - 800MHz, Max of 8GB). In you're manual go to section 4.4.1 Make sure you're bios is set to Auto. PCIE Frequency set to Auto, pg 4-47. 95% of the settings in the bios set to Auto.
Please clarify you're memory?

Luck!
Mike

Powering up

You need to remove the cap from 8-pin EATX12V connector and connect 8-pin EPC +12V power plug from your P/S, otherwise it will not work. Your power supply should support 8-pin EATX12V. If you P/S comes with 4-pin connector only you just use your 4-pin open spot and leave the cap on.

Setup powering down after 5 minutes of being on.

Enter you're bios & head to CPU section. There should be a section to check CPU & motherboard tempture. Sit back & watch the temp settings. (Check for over-heating which can & will shut down the system). It's best to do this with the case closed. Normal operation.
Did you add thermal grease between heat-sink & CPU. Same can happen if memory over-heats.

How do I enhance my Asus PadFone X mini speaker loudness?

Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.

Graphics card no picture on monitor when connected via HDMI or any cable?

The issue you are experiencing with your graphics card and monitor can be caused by various factors. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to identify and resolve the problem: 1. Check power connections: Ensure that the graphics card has the necessary power connections properly connected. Some higher-end graphics cards require additional power connectors, such as 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Make sure they are firmly plugged in. 2. Verify BIOS settings: Access your motherboard's BIOS settings and check if the primary display output is set to the PCIe slot where your graphics card is installed. It should be set to prioritize the discrete graphics card instead of the integrated graphics (if applicable). 3. Update BIOS and drivers: Visit the Gigabyte website and make sure you have the latest BIOS version installed for your motherboard. Additionally, download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card from the XFX or AMD website. Outdated firmware or drivers can cause compatibility issues. 4. Reset BIOS: Try resetting the BIOS to its default settings. Locate the CMOS battery on your motherboard, remove it for a few minutes, then reinsert it. This action resets the BIOS settings to their defaults and may resolve any conflicting configurations. 5. Check for physical damage: Inspect the graphics card for any physical damage, loose connections, or faulty components. Ensure that it is securely inserted into the PCIe slot and that there are no visible signs of damage on the card or its connectors. 6. Test with a different monitor and cable: Connect your graphics card to a different monitor using a different cable (e.g., DisplayPort, DVI) to rule out potential issues with the HDMI cable or the monitor itself. This helps determine if the problem lies with the graphics card or the specific combination of monitor and cable. 7. Check for motherboard compatibility: Verify that your graphics card is compatible with your motherboard. Check the manufacturer's website for compatibility lists or consult the user manual for your motherboard. In some cases, a BIOS update might be necessary to ensure compatibility. 8. Seek professional assistance: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact the technical support of your motherboard or graphics card manufacturer. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or recommend further action, such as warranty service or component replacement. Remember to handle your hardware with care and take necessary precautions, such as grounding yourself and disconnecting the power supply, before performing any physical checks or adjustments.
