I have a password problem on my laptop, but not
If you are talking about the password that is just ask when the comp starts....You can try this...
The power-on
password prevents use of the computer until the password is entered. The
setup password prevents unauthorized changes to
Computer Setup. To clear the
passwords, you must remove all power from the
system board. If you do not know the
passwords, use the following procedure to clear
the password:
1. Remove all battery packs.
2. Disconnect the AC power.
3. Remove the real-time clock battery.
4. Wait thirty minutes.
5. Reconnect the AC power. DO NOT INSTALL THE
BATTERY!
6. Restart the computer. During Power-On Self Test
(POST), a â 162 System Options
not setâ message appears.
7. Shut down the computer, then disconnect AC
power again.
8. Replace the real-time clock battery.
9. Install the battery pack(s).
10. Reconnect the AC power.
11. Start the computer.

My mic doesnt seem to work at all
It is due to the loose contact in your PC's mic jack. If you are a technician you can replace it yourself, otherwise contact a laptop technician.

Hi,
Re-download the current drivers from HP and re-install them.
Clean the little glass bulb in the DVD drive with Alchohol and a q-tip, if you can.
It is acting like it is rejecting the drive and or disk. You need to minimize what possibilities are making this happen. Doing the above will do that.

Over heating problems
If you are confident with the insides of laptops, remove the panel to expose the heatsink, and clean the fins on that. If it has pulled in a lot of dust, then no matter how clean your fans are, it won't be able to pull cool air through the heatsink and over the chip, leading to an overheat condition.
HP pavilion wireless uninstalled itself
I have the exact same issue with a wireless card. Most likely the card is bad. The driver is not uninstalling itself, it simply can't see the hardware and is therefore not listed. Change out the card, and it should resolve the issue.

Battery problem of hp dv6000
The battery has a limited life span, and it sounds as though this one has reached its end. My own battery did the same thing. Though it had never been used, I bought it with the laptop as an extra, and after using for less than two months, it gives me no time at all now. Replacing the battery is your only option.
