How do i replace a toshiba qosmio f45-av411 lcd
First remove the battery from te laptop. Locate all the screw covers (in the front side) with the watch maker screen driver. There might be four of them. Once you remove the screw. covers, remove the screws and remove the front bezel. You can now separate eh front bezel. Locate the screen assembly. Remember, there might be laches. So, be careful not to break them. You will see the frame scrwes after this with the vedio cable quite visible. Just remove them to find the invertor. Thats it.. You have removed the LCD screen.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

There is no magic button that i know of that fixes those faults Returning it to factory defaults doesn;t reinstate broken parts. To me it sounds like a board fault and that some jiggling you did temporarily caused it to make contact for a while. It could be a loose cable connecting the problem components to the main board, it could even be a cracked M/Board. It would have to be opened to check for that. I don't advise you to try it either as many before you have ventured into laptops and never been able to get them back together again.
Putting a new disk in sounds to me to be a waste of money on a machine that has so many problems.
If the unit is so valuable to you I would be biting the bullet and having it repaired properly, not mucking around hoping you get it right by a fluke, that way you will end up spending more thanj $300.
You can buy a new Toshibt Satellite Pro for $400 after cashback. So why persist with a dying machine with no warranty and a 100 problems?

if that error occurs while attempting the recovery, typically it indicates a read write error on the hard drive. replace the hard drive and see if the recovery finishes.
(although i have only seen this problem with failing hard drives)
