Overheating, sometimes i see the fan go on and off

Under load the fan will kick in and stop as the temperature gets hot. This is normal.
If it is doing this on a reguar basis, you can do the following

1.) Download a copy of a hardware monitoring tool (everest is good) as a trial, note the indicated temperatures that appear on the toolbar, up to 60 degrees is ok under load, after that, you have an overheating problem.

2.) Either take the laptop to a shop and get it cleaned out (dust and dirt accumulate in the fan and coooling matrix), or try this yourself. You can try vacuuming the intake and outlet ports for the fan, but this is not the best solution.

3.) Obtain a USB cooling pad, these are ludicrously cheap on the lies of ebay at less than £4.00 delivered from some suppliers and reduce operating temperatures by 15-20 degrees if placed correctly

Finding Sata drivers

Ok, let me see if I've got this right, you want to replace vista? but you need the SATA drivers? To do a dual boot, you usually need to install XP first, and Vista second. As for the SATA drivers, if the XP cd boots up and allows you to edit the partitions, then the SATA driver is already integrated. And here is the download page for your laptop:

Error Occurs

I'm going to ask a stupid question. After you run the recovery and the machine reboots, are you getting a prompt to "press and key to boot from CD"?

If so, don't press a key and see if Windows (recovered) will boot.

If not, I'd say you probably need to re-run the recovery and choose a clean Windows install ...or at a minimum, a repair.

Hope this helps - please remember to rate :)

Wireless capability turned on

You just got wireless turned on ? Does this mean you just added a wireless router to your existing wired network ? You may need to turn off the DCHP server in the wireless Router and give it a unique ip address eg if wired router is 192.168.0.1 then make wireless router 192.168.0.2 with gateway ip set as 192.168.0.1 then make wired dhcp router not lease out 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.20 make subnet mask the same also for each router.
