the camera seemed not been properly configured for the chat program you are using. Please make sure that the webcam have been configured properly with your chat program like YM. Also check if the camera works locally, meaning, if it captures video while not in chat rooms

Is it possible you have to enable some type of external display setting?

You probably pressed fn + F7 by mistake when you were switching to the projector (fn+F5 to change monitor)....fn+F7 disables the touchpad on Acer laptops.

Press fn+F7 again. Betcha that fixes it. If not, let me know and I can help you with troubleshooting :)

It might be the driver problem. Have you checked the device manager? It there any red or yellow alert in it? Feel free to visit digitalsupporttech for getting help.

You may have a blown inverter, this is a small component found at the bottom of the screen. It is a simple fix.
You can search for one on eBay, simply search for "<your model> inverter".
Should be around £10.00
Once you receive it, pry of the front of your screen bezel with a small sharp screwdriver and locate the inverter at the bottom of the screen. Replace it with the new one.
This should solve your problem.
The fact that you see information when you boot means that the screen is fine. It is more than likley the inverter.

the fingerprint has its own driver on its own. this is what you do, if the computer come with any driver cd, insert it and install it from there otherwise, google it and you will get the driver from their official site. good luck

this is a error report, turn off your computer and put it on again, it won't show and make sure your antivirus is installed and updated. good luck

If you want to restore your laptop to factory setting: You should insert your "recovery disk to the CD/DVD ROM. and then shutdown the laptop.

Now; boot your laptop using the recovery disk(boot the laptop from CD/DVD rom) This will no need to input the password: its either you have to restore the system without deleting the existing files or you have to partition and format the hard drive. formatting hard drive you will end up with fresh copy of system files. same as first day when you purchase the laptop.

be sure to install the driver if there's any.

However; if you tend to do by supplying the password. iguess all factory installation has no password. you have to strike the enter without supplying any password.

If you squeeze it together, it might "click" in to place. Either way, it is no big deal. Acer is a good company. They will fix it if it is in warranty :)

u should give uss a compleate model of ur notebook and which driver ?

this is probably caused by the settings on your msn make sure that the setting for the webcam is set to the driver your webcam is located at on your computer im sorry i do not use msn so i wont be able to further asssist

Have you been installing and uninstalling programs? if yes then you need to clean your Windows Registry. If not doing so then some of your drivers have got corrupted and need re installing. it is basically a SW prob. Go to

and download the drivers and reinstall them.

Go to Start > All programs > Windows Update (or Microsoft Update). Do a Custom scan, and install it from there.

Hi,
First of all your TV should support both HDMI and VGA.
If it does lets start with HDMI as you will get audio through the HDMI cable.
Connect the HDMI cable to the TV and set the source on the TV to HDMI using your remote control, connect the other end to the laptop, hold down Fn and hit F5 to toggle between screens.
