Whenever I try to connect the Acer crystal eye webcam with my msn messenger the following message appears: "Your conversation cannot begin because your camera is currently in use or not plugged in. Make sure your camera is available and try again."
However when I connect the webcam using my desktop icon it works!!!
hi,the acer crystal eye has issues with mcafee site adviser either delete it as i did or configure it.search mcafeemessenger click on microsoft live messenger 2009 (v140) conference link to the appr opiate page hope this is helpful.

so the acer says no bootable device and to put in boot disc....it didnt come with a boot disc. i need my computer!
This sounds awful, but a friend just had the same problem - no bootable device. He had dropped it, hitting keyboard first. Now he thumped it on the opposite side and IT WORKED! Must have been a loose connector

when i start up my sell latitude d630 it tells me that the internal hard disk drive was not found (thats a quote from the screen btw) then it tells me to resolve this issue, try to reseat the drive (another quote from the same screen)
If the HD has never been removed it is unlikely it needs reseated. You need to go into the BIOS (press F1 during start-up) and see if the HD is visable under the drives section. If it is not then it is dead and needs replaced. Data recovery may be necessary if you need anything from it.
However to reseat it, turn the laptop over and there are two screws that come out to slide the HD out from the side. Pull it out and then push it back in firmly and replace the screws.

I've mysteriously locked the keyboard while working. I can see the "lock" icon lit on the left panel but can't figure out how to release it or recreate the problem.

I have an Acer Aspire 5315 Laptop and on startup there is a continous beep before the windows startup is commenced. Pressing CONTROL ALT DELETE will allow it to proceed to the windows start up. Otherwise it will continue to beep continuously
its either there is a stucked key on your keyboard or you have a bad ram (memory card).
