I can't get sound from my tv or the surround sound. Everything is hooked up correctly. The display will show 5.1 for a brief moment but no sound and the it will go to 2.0 and stay without sound.

Check your TV menu and be sure your audio out is set properly for the input on your A/V receiver. You can also check if the speakers for your TV are turned on or off.

Bose Life style 12 problems with new samsung tv

Hi Candy, On the back of your satellite box you will see a pair of Audio Out RCA jacks. One will be red, one will be white. Simply run an RCA cable pair to the 'AUX' jacks on the rear of the BOSE. do u have red cable connect it to your tv and then to your settop box or what ever u have

I have a Bose Lifestyle

I hope you checked if the antenna wire is connected before reporting this defect.
All modern radios have automatic muting. No sound will come out unless the receiver gets enough signal strength to give you an undistorted sound, so if your antenna wire is disconnected you will get no sound.

Is it possible to connect

You can only Connect a iPod via a iPod dock
Apple iPod Univeral Dock
and use either
Apple Composite AV Cable or Apple Component AV Cable
based on what Output you iPod Allows.

the list of which iPod that is supported is listed on each page of the AV Cables above.

You can use a IR Blaster Cable with the iPod Dock to control the iPod also.

I believe this is a classic fault with Bose Remotes failing.

Contact your supplier to arrange a replacement under warranty.

I just bought my V20, I plugged it using a HDMI

Hi - Don't know about the switching LEDs but there is no reason to be using both the HDMI cable AND a digital coax cable to the V20.

You should have a single HDMI (carries video and 5.1 audio) cable from the DVD to the DVD input in the V20.

i have phoned bose the tv sensor will not work with led tvs becouse they do not transmitt enough power for the sensor to pick it up

Volume is blocked ("hotel only"). How can I

I found this in another Fixya entry... "-Press Enter and On/Off on the media center , on standby mode -now hold the enter button pressed and start pressing the On/Off button. You should see a setting display on the player. The setting on display should change from video....till...Hotel Control -ON - on that position, press the Volume 'minus' button on the media center. It should change to Hotel Control - Off." My next suggestion would have been to call Bose and ask them why things like this aren't documented anywhere. 1-800-999-2673 Sales support: Mon. - Sun., 7 AM - 2 AM ET Technical support: Mon. - Fri., 8:30 AM - 9 PM ET Sat., 9 AM - 6 PM

REALLY - call them and complain that this is NOT documented online.
