Verbatim memory stick can't unhide files

on properties on filing system go to view files and unhide files this will un hide every file on the computer so don't change the system files that are hidden, find the files that you are looking for and go into properties of the file and change them to un hidden. and press ok this will make them unhidden after you have done this to all files you need put the filing system back to original way your files will be seen but all hidden files will be back hidden.

How do I get data off verbatim 160 gb hard drive that the mini usb port broke off?

Your best bet is to buy a donor drive of the same make/model, remove the circuit board and install it on your broken drive - get your data but don't try to continue to use it after that because it will fail.

I dropped my verbatim 1 TB external hard drive and now my computer doesn't read or pick-up the drive what can I do to recover my data

I feel your pain. If this is the drive you boot with - you can try booting from a bootable CD, DVD or flash drive. Then, connect the 1TB drive to see if you can access it. Copy any data you need to another disk. If you can not access or retrieve any data from the disk - you're pretty much done unless you're willing to spend some big money having the data professionally retrieved. There are a few companies that do this - below is a link to one of them that has been around for a long time. I have no idea as to how good they are and if there are companies that do this for less money, etc. Do your homework investigating before sending it off. Good luck!
