Garmin nuvi 1490T Factory Reset hay i found this for you it may help I had the exact same problem. No response from a Master Reset. I finally tried to put the unit into a stand by mode. Press the top left corner of the display and power the unit on. Keep pressing the top left corner and the "GARMIN" will displayed. Release to power button, then quickly plug the unit into a computer. You should see a green dot in the lower left hand corner of the screen. Release the top left corner and you should see the green bar start to load. When the green bar goes across the screen the unit should show it plugged into the computer and your computer should recognize it.
