Upon turning tv on after it's been off for a while
Hello,
IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........
ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER
HOPE THIS HELP...
I Have bought a REGZA tv and have lost manual
If you were to log on to the
manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as
usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer
Instruction Manuals, list
of Dealers for spare part supplies as required.
The information is normally free of
charge.
I hope this helps.
I have sound and channel
Please read below and my guide to understand what to look for:
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

The screen has no pics and is dark, but sound is
You need to troubleshoot so ypu will not waste money on the wrong parts since many parts of the TV can cause the same symptom.

Tv won't turn on at all
Hi
the best thing you do is to go back the unit where it you buy because this is under warranty
Thanks!
Toshiba 47HL167's screen has gone Completely Black
I don't know if you guys are still looking for an answer but turn the
TV on where you can here that something is actually playing on the TV
then grab a flashlight and turn all the lights off. Get real close to
the screen and shine the flashlight on the screen. Can you see
something on the screen? If you can then there is a very good chance
that one of the inverter boards are out. This could be the slave or
the master. For the 47" I actually have the same issue and have
ordered the master inverter board. For the 42" I have both the master
and the slave board and they are both working. So for the person that
has that issue on the 42" TV if you want a board for your TV email me
at
[email protected]. For the one with the 47" flip a coin and order
an inverter board for it either master or slave and try it. To
determine which inverter board it is you would have to take the DC
voltage across the start and then the end to see if you are getting any
power. I hope this helps. By the way inverter boards usually run
between 60-120 dollars each and the slave board on both these TV's are
easy to install. The master is a little harder due to the power button
board is in front of it and has to be removed first. Let me know if
this helped.
If you open the unit
