Hi,

I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

Cloudy glasses, less than 2

First perform a vinegar cycle wash in the dishwasher. Pour a cup of vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher. Keep the temperature at the highest setting possible and perform a wash cycle. Then start using a dishwasher most probably that would solve the problem. If this does not solve the problem then there must be some parts worn out or faulty creating the problem.

There are many probable causes of failure .

To clean the dishes the water temperature is essential. It the water is not hot then the dishes will not be cleaned properly. So check the water temperature.

Also check the filter in your dishwasher.Clean the filter if there is accumulation of debris in the filter

If you are in an hard water zone , then try reducing the amount of detergent used and then try cleaning the dishes.

Dishes have a powdery residue

If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

**Water temperature Note***

To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

NOTE(((excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher can cause this as well. I recommend cleaning the inside of the unit with a dishwasher cleaner called Dishwasher Magic. its good stuff and it will get rid of that calcium build up)))

Jenn air quiet series II

Couple of things to check: there's a float that needs to more freely, make sure it does. There's dishwasher cleaning instructions in the operation manual. You may need to take the lower rack out, take off the spray arm to get at a filter, which you should clean and replace. Then you can try to run some white vinegar through a wash cycle. Jean Air has these instruction at their web site.

Try aplianceprosparts.com , they have all the diagrams for upper , lower and middle racks , and doors also , I ordered some rollers for a jenn air dishwasher last week and they delivered the part very fast and that was regular shipping, also the best price around , some other web site had it for 50 bucks + taxes and I paid 38 bucks + taxes and s&h! good luck.

Brand new just installed first time use all lights up but will not start

you may need to take it back and exchange it. It sounds to me like the dishwasher is not recognizing your commands which means that it has a bad control board. If you do not want to go through the trouble of that you can always get a technician to come out and replace it for you. That will cost more money. It is up to you though.
