I had success with this1. Do not save any new file to memory card.2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery software (simply because i was using it and it worked)4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. believe it or not, I have found many usb cables at resale shops like goodwill stores..but you can take you camera to walmart and they can show you a universal usb cable set with different ends on it..

now my computer does no seem to recognize that the camera is attatched at all,

• Do you mean to say it recognized the camera at one time in the past?
• What happens when you attach the USB cable?
• What operating system are you running on your computer?
• Did you try to re-install the drivers?

Sounds like "a portion of them" are in an image format which is not recognized by your operating system.
I believe Polaroid is using some variant of the jpg image format.

If the "portion of them" you are referring to are movies, then you must have the proper software installed.

Did you try re-installing the software that came with the camera?
