How to download vista, and wat is the requirments
Please Dont install VISTA, it is bloated, slow and buggy.
Either stick with XP or use Windows 7, 7 is far better than Vista.
If you are after a free download, try this 1
http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/204960365/windows+7?tab=summary
, you will need a torrent client like Utorrent, this is here
http://www.utorrent.com/downloads
The download will take a while, it will come with an activation patch.
You usually install windows 7 without the serial, then run the patch after to make it genuine.

Vista service pack
I wondered the same until I had loaded all available updates, including optional ones (but I don't know if that last was necessary). Then "voila" SP1 was shown as an available update! You can manually download the SP1 from the update site, but this is a 400+ Mb download. Give it a try. Download and install all available updates (this may take several inspections and installs [each probably requiring a reboot in between] so persevere). Don't think that because you have installed all the (visually) available updates that you have in fact installed ALL the updates, some require a previous update be installed before the next update is identified. This is probably what happens with SP1. Good luck

How do i fix the black screen of ***** on my windows vista?
The problem is not the fix, the problem is finding out which problem of many possibilities is causing the the black screen.
This requires some troubleshooting.
I assume you are using a PC.
The first step is to turn on the monitor first.
Make sure the power on indicator LED on the monitor comes on.
Then boot the PC. Make sure the CPU fan comes on inside the PC.
(If you are running a laptop and the screen is always black, it is usually the flexible cable joining the screen to the main body has broken. A hardware problem)
Does anything show up on the screen?
If no, check the CPU cooler inside the PC.
If it is plugged up with dust and lint, you may have a burned out CPU that will have to be replaced. (A lack of cooling air causes the CPU to overheat and fail when the safety does not work. A common problem.)
If yes, get a Linux boot CDROM/DVD, boot on the Linux CDROM/DVD, and follow the instructions to run CLAM antivirus under Linux.
When the screen goes black during boot, and stays black, the problem is usually a "Root Kit" virus.
You can not remove these viruses with a normal Windows antivirus program. They are too deeply embedded in the system.
This is the start of the troubleshooting procedure.
You really need somebody "on-site" to troubleshoot a problem that is this complex.

I WANT THE PRODUCT KEY OF WINDOWS VISTA HOME basic to start my computer
If you have a legitimate copy of Vista, the product key is located on a sticker attached to their funky packaging. If you bought a downloadable copy, you should have received a confirmation e-mail that contains your product key. Otherwise, you will need to contact Microsoft to have them help you straighen out the situation.

Why can't Windows Vista check for updates?
go to you programs from the windows logo at the bottom left of the task bar and click on all programs
you will see a windows update line , click on that and a panel will open up
on the left panel you will see a change settings line click on that nad click start updates or put in the times that you want updates to happen--it is most probably turned off

Need product key code for
They key will either be in the box the disk came in or on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop. If you ruined that sticker because they put it in a place that gets ruined easily, then you are screwed.
