MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Try to do a right click on the zen in My computer and seelct Format. This will wipeout everything that is there on the player and you'll need to copy stuff to it again. If you are unable to format the player then this could be a hardware failure.

Resetting it will not delete files. Files will be deleted when you choose formatting your player option.Based on their manual:
If your player stops responding, reset the player. This should not cause you to lose any data or audio tracks, unless you were in the middle of transferring files. 1. Insert and remove a straightened paperclip from the Reset Hole. 2. If this does not work, proceed to Formatting Your Player. Formatting Your Player WARNING: This step deletes all your player's content. If possible, back up all your player's content on your computer before proceeding.

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

First try resetting it = To reset your zen = Put a pen head in the hole under the power button for 20 seconds.

A depleted battery may have any of the following symptoms:
The charging icon is missing
The blue power LED is not blinking
The player turns off immediately when it is disconnected from its power supply
Not showing any signs of activity (with the exception of the blue power LED)
No LCD display

try to go to the place where you buy that product you might found that they can fix about your problem there.

zen does not run through itunes, look in "my Computer" double click the Zen drive and simply drag songs into that drive from itunes or whatever, safely remove and then you can listen.

well you can go to McAfee.com then click the download link. Once it is downloaded then a message will come up and say "Your Computer Is Not Fully Protected" Then you hit protection status and hit scan and it should take your virus off

• Try resetting the device it’s usually a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds
• Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer’s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

The firmware will have to be updated. Or device needs to be reset. You can get an update software download from manufacture's site and sometimes others.
