Frigidaire FDL60P1 Dehumidifier Questions & Answers
Frigidaire dehum freezes up
Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for your inquiry!
Often frost appears on coils either because your appliance has been turned on recently or the room temperature is too low. Sometimes this is normal due to refrigerant rushing through the coils and usually it disappears within 60 minutes. However, if your dehumidifier is not removing moisture, then at this point your dehumidifier may possibly been experiencing a sealed system issue. Is your appliance still in warranty? If so, you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the coverage on your dehumidifier and the procedures to any potential remedy in that regard. Hope this helps! - Z
Wont drain through the hose
More than likely, te problem lies within the hose or the hose connector tubing inside the unit. Either one is clogged. The hose is easy to inspect. Just remove it and either blow thru it or look for light at the opposite end of the hose. If there's nothing there, then it's in the hose connector tubing.
Using an 18" long, plastic Zip Tie ( or something similar. NO wire coat hangers though) that's appropriately sized to fit the hole. Carefully insert the Zip Tie and continue to work it in, unit you reach the bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work it past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you reach the end of usable Zip Tie. Slowly pull the Zip Tie out while rotating (twisting) it. This will break up any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow.
That should take care of it. Also, if your bucket has a Float Valve in the top of it, make sure the Float Valve is in the Down position. If it's stuck in the UP position, gently shake the arm to make it return to the Down Position.
Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
Hi I am experiencing problems
Hi,
Unless the humidity in the house is fairly high, say over 75% then the water will collect very slow...the humidifier will collect no water at 45% or lower...
If the water is not going into the bucket then check that the bucket is completely inserted...also check the the hole does not have dirt in it where the water runs into the bucket at...sometimes dirt builds up and then runs the water around and down the side instead of it dripping into the bucket....
Make sure also the the dehumidifier has not been changed around for the hose attachment and that the water is then running out there....
Mostly just take a good look into where the water is running from and where it should be going to and then get it going there... the problem usually is very simple...
Dehumidifier is running but no water is in bucketheatman101
My dehumidifier will not stop when it is filled
Did I answer this yesterday for you>
I think your tank is being held up by a piece of debris or packing material. Remove your tank and look for some obstruction.
Are you able to put a hose on your tank and run the water to a drain or sump? That is the best way to dispose of the water.
Why doesnt water go though hose
You may have a trap in the line accidently. The hose should make a straight gradual downhill run to a drain area. If it goes up and down up and down it will create a trap that will stop the water. Also try blowing through the line to make sure it is clear. Good luck!
Meaning of "F1" in a Frigidaire Dehumidifier model FFAD5033R1?
For the slightly larger model, FFAD7033R1, F1 turned out to be the humidity sensor. This can be accessed by removing just the back panel. If you have a soldering iron for less than a nickel you can just replace the NTC Thermistor (small orange resistor 10k) on the small PCB. See attached image below. In the image below just to the right of the white sensor you can see I removed the bad thermistor..
