Put a pin into the hole in the top and then the blue light will go off and you can switch it on again.
Or stuck a needle in the little reset button at the button to get it work again.

If you can try to open the files on your computer by search files option, then opne them and save the lot to a secured folder. Then completely format the device, erasing all the date stored. reset teh device once again and now put back antivirus scanned files back from your PC saved folder. Please check all the files for any error befroe you reload. I hope this will help you out. Good day

First back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and make sure it is disconnected from the computer. Then press and hold the play/pause button and turn it on simultaneously. It will then enter recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format and it should work like normal. If it freezes again, then you may need a firmware update.

make sure unit is fully charged - via wall charger or USB, and make sure to hold down the power up switch for at least 5-6 seconds the first time after charging.

Firmware Update problem.(Failed)
hi i have Creative Zen 4GB Mp3 player.
When i plug it via USB on my PC i can't upgrade frimware.İt always run in recovery mode.i start firmware upgrade and installer says "firmware upgrade failed.".Media explorer says Storage Media is 50 mb.Please help i don't know anything to repair it...

the battery may be dead - have you tried charging it?

I have this exact same problem, X-FI 4gb, cannot find a solution anywhere - Installed regular drivers and had to reset the device, just want to put a painkiller cd on for my brother and give him device, hope I can find the solution, Thing is ... and this is what hurts, IT WORKED FINE, until I plugged it into windows xp service pack 3, and then it said I need service pack 2, how do I downgrade my service pack though...
