Most likely it is beyond repair. The cost of repair, if it is possible would not be worth it, put your money towards a new player and be careful with your new one.

Possible that the optical unit is faulty and so might need a change

Try using Google to search the Internet for a battery for your model Scandisk.You will get various suppliers and the prices.

try removing the battery and putting it back in and see what happends. i not sure this will work

defrag it in your properties menu.organize your folders in it..

Perhaps the power source is bad...Try to find a friend who has a similarunit and try there power cord!

Slide the power button on your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player up.

After pressing Menu/Play several times until you see an "Equalizer" logo, choose it and then scroll down. Choose the one JUST ABOVE the selection with "FM". You are in Language now. Format your player and it'll erase all the files that it's reading. I had the same issue and when I formatted it again it erased whatever it was reading.

Just Connect it to your Computer using the USB Provided.Once your Done with it, Go to My Computer, Select your Music Player there, Go to Music or Sound File Folder, Just Click on the Song You want to Delete and Delete it....Good Luck!!!!!
