Try removing all the toner carts and remove the drum unit from the printer. Using the upholstery tool on your home vacuum cleaner, clean all over the drum unit being careful not to directly touch the drum surfaces (they scratch very easily causing permanent marks to print) also vacuum out the inside of the printer. 1. power down the printer.
2. remove all color cartridges from their slots.

This took me about 10 minutes for the process, after understanding what the "green slide" meant.

E1 is called a program error, asking the printer to do something it thinks it can't. Could just be a print that uses a lot of memory, if you don't have the extra memory installed. The manual just says to power off and on again, but I would also look at what you are trying to print and try another job.

That is a cartridge issue.

Try doing a machine self test to ensure that it is working properly. Press OK/return to "Machine Info" Then down arrow once to "Test Print" and OK/Return. The machine should produce a self test printout. If the machine does not give a print out, try cleaning the paper pick up rollers at the back of the paper tray cavity. Be careful, the machine is heavy. If a full test print happens - Your printer is working fine and the problem is at the computer end. It's possible driver installion is faulty or incomplete and you should try re-installing the printer driver. Is it also possible that your printer paper settings are either incorrect or do not match the paper in the printer. Check and match your paper settings in the printer preferences and the paper tray.

Take the toner cartridge out and try to turn the Developer roller ( the toner coated roller), if it doesn't turn you have a faulty cartridge. If the cartridge is OK, recheck the Magenta drum to see if the thin corona wire has been broken. You will need to remove the Cyan toners to get to the corona wire cover. If is damaged or broken, the whole drum will have to be replaced.
