i buy a new catradge for canon mp140. C41 catradge number but not working. Its endicating yellow and shows e5, so what can i do?<!-- from fixya rte -->

Hi there follow the steps below.

Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then un install the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

Yes you have to install cartridges then can scan document

Error code 2 is mean no paper present. Just put paper at the Auto Sheet Feeder.

There is no program to reset the cartridges.
