There are over 116 posts of this same problem on Windows Forums http://forums.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/showpost.aspx?postid=2086230&siteid=65&sb=0&d=1&at=7&ft=11&tf=0&pageid=0
yet no one has the solution.... Microsoft doesn't even acknowledge their own error code!!! It's unbelievable to pay the kind of money for these products (HTC, Spring, Microsoft) and to not have support. Here is what I copied from another victim... mine's the same..
I've been experiencing the same issues, any resolutions anyone can provide would be much appreciated.
Windows XP SP2
Active Sync 4.5
HTC Touch (WM 6)
USB Connection
Outlook 2003
Getting this error "Attention Required Error code 80883001"... pops up almost everytime I try to sync is getting incredibly frustrating...
Here's the rest of the error code....
"There has been a change made on your server that requires you re-synchronize all items on your device. All changes made since your last successful sync will be lost. Do you wish to continue?"
I have spent hours and hours on this. I'm ready to throw it away! Please help!
Try this, I read it on a microsoft.com forum.
Disconnect the device from the PC.
Open Activesync on the device.
Open the "Menu".
Click "Options"
Uncheck "E-mail" from Data you want to Sync.
Click "Done"
and re-sync devise to PC.
Once I did that, my contacts and all my appointments sync'd.
Hope that helps...
It seems tons of people have had this annoying issue.

I am currently having a HUGE problem with my HTC. I went to charge the battery when I went to bed when I woke up in the morning the Blue and Red lights (at the top of the phone) were solid I went to turn the phone on and it would not turn on. I tried to remove the battery I tried a soft reset nothing seems to be turning it back on, I have had it attached to the USB cable and attached to my computer for over two days now and still nothing
I am not able to do a hard reset because the Send anddisconnect lights will not come on at all
Please help I am lost without my phone
Solution is as follows:

By making durable products??
Not sure the hungry chinese would like that iea

which meant cheap rubbish
and HONG KONG sold the idea to china

Hi, yesterday my HTC Touch screen just stopped responding to my taps, I tried soft reset, hard reset, everything, you name it! I just can't get pass the alignment screen, because the phone wouldn't respond to my taps! Please help! I'm sure there are others out there who have the same problem
Thanks!
This is a common problem with many touch screen phones. There are about three reasons this can happen that I know of:
1. Hardware issue. Needs to go in for repair. Hopefully under warranty still.
2. Needs to be re-flashed with the OEM ROM. This is not likely, since you've already Hard Reset, but worth a try.
3. The EASIEST and FIRST thing to check is to run a 'business card' around the edge of the screen between the case and screen. Dirt or other objects can easily get wedged into that area and hold the screen pressed down. This would prevent a press from any other area of the screen. Also, a screen protector that has shifted might cause this. Hopefully this is it, as it's a simple fix!
Good luck!

Can some one send the link to download htc p3400 usb driver to connect to the PC
There isn't one.
If you have Windows XP, Google "Microsoft Activesync", download and install it.
If you have Windows Vista Google, "Windows Mobile Device Center", download and install it.
These free Microsoft applications allow all Windows Mobile phones and PDAs to connect and sync with your Windows PC.
If this helps please vote for my solution.
