DV182 keep saying check card protect switch
SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Sd card not reconsized by pc
omg same thing keeps happening i have a vista and i try to download the photo's on my vista but it won't work

take the sd card out and use an sdcard reader.
don't believe the drivers for the cam are vista compatible

Ok, i don't know if you read it but i have the answer. I bought the same one and i had the same problem. I bought a 2GB SDCard too. It wasnt work... so i was looking for in the Internet, and I saw that this Camera only accept SDCards from 64Mb to 1GB. I tried with a 1GB SDCard and it worked. Good Luck!!

Won't Fire up!
The memory card that you have may be too big for the camera, i did the same I bought a 4g card and the camera can only handle a 2g card try this and see what happens

What is the cause of
its probly due to the distance off the zoom lens and the focus lens
cause by a focus motor defective or miss aligment in whole lens assembly du to a choc or so...
