Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

The charger red light kept

Welcome to FixYa.

Red light indicates that the battery is charging. The light will goes off to inform you the charging is complete. Possible that the battery was alreay damaged since you left it charging overnight. Charging time is approximately 5 hours only.

I suggest that you have to replace your battery with a new one.

Feel free to send us your suggestion or comments if this solution was helpful.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Remove battery from charger. Unplug charger for a minute, then plug back into outlet. Reinsert battery and see if red LED comes on and STAYS on solid. If so, charge for about 5 hours. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/travis_e264b9f3ca4047ae

Took a bit to find this this bad news in the manual but what happens now is to get the pictures from the internal memory to the computer as a down load you need to first insert a memory card format the memory card and load each picture from the internal memory onto the memory card one at a time once that is down then you can download the memory card to the computer then you will need to reformat the memory card and then go back into the internal memory erase each one of those images and format the internal memory. Now the GOOD news, you only have 10 pictures. Don't forget to do the formatting.

When I turn on the camera I get a blue screen with

Hi,
This error indicate that focusing ring got stuck or jammed. What you can try to do is spray some compressed air into the lens to try to free up any sand or dust that may have worked its way in. If that doesn't help, you can gently bump the camera to try to free the focusing ring.
or.......
You can try to turn camera ON at the table (facing it to the ceiling), don't put camera down face to the floor when opening.

Else your camera need to be disassembled to get at the focusing ring.

Thanks for using fixya,
Good luck and have a nice day.

My lens is foggy and my battery will not stay charged

Did you go too deep with the camera? You can try burying it in a bowl of dry rice for a week...that may absorb any moisture still left inside.

I went snorkeling with my olympus 780sw camera

I have the same problem with my 770 SW. The funny thing is, some outlets in my house will allow it to charge, some will just make the light flash. I found your question looking for a better solution. Try all the outlets in your house with the charger, I know it sounds silly, but it works for me.
