I think I may have

Hi.

The door lock switch can be tested either jumping its contacts and cycling the machine, or removing the switch and reading Ohms at switch terminals while operating the switch. This will show if the switch is opening and closing.

The door latch is held to the door by a set of six or eight screws. Disconnect power before starting the repair.
To replace the door lock undo screws, then pull out lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector.
Fit the new lock performing operations in reverse order.

Here the replacement part: _.gif PS2363554 .

Here the door diagram. The switch is part nr.12 in diagram, click on the picture to enlarge.

Dishwasher Not Draining Properly

Either the drain hose is stopped up or the screen inside dishwasher stopped up. It has vent that go's to the drain. Find it prob beside of sink. Follow the hose and see if there is any kinks in the hose. Even the smallest kink will make the grease off of the food, starrt to build up and clog the hose. Disconnect the hose at the drain and run a piece of wire into it and clean it out.

It seems when I pushe button to start nothing

Some fault in the dishwasher is causing it to believe the door is not locked.

I would check the door lock.

check this youtube video out for the location of the door switch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CqFZ-Ud0nE&feature=related

(quality of video may not be the best but gives an idea of its location).

If you can give me the exact model number I can find out more details of the problem you are having.

Won't turn on

Try just pressing the selection pad, without pressing start/cancel and close the door. That has worked for me a couple of times.

High oitch noise during wash

As motor bearings wear out, they can become quite loud when the motor runs. They wear out quickly if they frequently get wet, because the water washes away the motor bearing grease. Bearings can get wet if the spin seal is defective. Then there will also be water leaking onto the floor beneath the dishwasher. Replace the seal if it leaks (read about the main tub seal in the "It leaks" section, later). If, from beneath the dishwasher, you can see a round, plastic disc that's mounted to the top of the motor (a "slinger"), it may have broken free of the motor shaft. If so, it could be rattling around the shaft while the motor is running. If that's the problem, you need to replace the motor.
If the heater fan bearings are rusted or worn, they may squeal, or scrape loudly during the drying cycle. If this is the problem, replace the fan motor. Alternatively, the fan blade may be loose. If so, you need to replace it.

Normal wash cycle will not work.

Could be tricky to find this one.

You need to deduce what is used in the main cycle that is not used in the others,
Whatever is used is likely to need testing or replacing.
If there is nothing else wrong (heater, pumps, thermostats) then the only thing to try is a new control board.

Dishwasher is on and running a load. It is

The "HO" means it's trying to heat the water to the appropriate temperature before proceeding in the cycle. It's totallly normal, and can go on for 20 minutes or so... if you run your sink faucet to clear the line of hot water first, it will reduce the time it takes to heat the water

Microwave does not work and it is less than two

1 the heating source of a microwave is the magnetron .
2.if the power is completely dead it could only be the fuse.
3.if you touch the touch pad and there it does not respond then you need a new touch pad . all are very expensive. fuse is only about 3$. go to sears partsdirect.com and you price the parts and get image and you can order to ship right to you . if this information has been helpful post me back with a 4thumbs up rate.

Your pump is clogged. You must disconnect the power and the drain hose and water feed pipe. Pull the dw out and lay it on its back to access the pump.

Filter light status

Please verify the model number for your fridge, as the description shows a Frigidare 24" dishwasher.

With the model number and you providing the different buttons on the front panel, I can provide you with the button sequence to push and hold to reset the filter light.

While waiting for the needed info for an exact solution, you can try this:
If you have a "light" and "lock" button, push and hold them together for several seconds, the filter light should go off or change back to green.

If not, please provide me with the brand and model number for your fridge so I can give you the correct procedure for resetting the indicator light, by responding back with a "comment".

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
